Stellarium Mobile Sky Map is a fully-featured planetarium for your phone. It shows a realistic and accurate night sky map, just like what you see with the naked eye, binoculars or a telescope.
The sensor control will also enable you to identify a star in just a few seconds, just by pointing the phone at the sky!
This award-winning astronomy application is finally available on Android featuring:
* a catalog of over 600,000 stars displayed as a real time zoomable sky map
* a catalog of many nebulae and galaxies, with pictures for some of them
* asterisms and illustrations of the constellations for several sky cultures
* artificial satellites, including the International Space Station
* realistic Milky Way
* realistic landscape and atmosphere with sunrise, sunset and light pollution simulation
* accurate simulation of stars extinction, and atmosphere refraction
* 3D rendering of the major solar system planets and their satellites
* night mode (red)
* GPS positioning, accelerometers control of the direction of view in the sky
Stellarium mobile Sky Map is created by two of the original developers of Stellarium, the Desktop version of this famous astronomy and planetarium stars chart app.

Just out of curiosity, how would we research 'it' if all of the authorities we could check with are conspiring against us?

While I am grateful that you took the time to type all that, I didn't ask you how to use my brain. I am perfectly capable of doing this, thank you. What I asked you was where you think I should start looking outside of these authoritarian sources. In short, I'm asking you to back up your claims because...
...you're coming across as a crack-pot who may have smoked one too many moon rocks.
Again, I'm curious: How does science teaching us where we came from and where we live stop us from understanding who we are or where we live?

I love this Carl Sagan quote “You can't convince a believer of anything; for their belief is not based on evidence, it's based on a deep seated need to believe”

Voted hot. Can't grumble for 10p even though I have so many apps that I don't even use.

Is this any good for photography? As in, does it provide an augmented view of milky way position via camera overlay etc?

If you mean as an aid to photographing the milky way then I've used a similar app to help identify the constellation "Cygnus" which is easy to identify on a clear night and runs pretty much through the middle of the milky way. Just be sure to get your orientation correct as my first couple of pics where landscape as apposed to portrait. Chances are the app will overlay the milky way anyhow.

It's really handy for figuring out where and when you will see the Milky way and other celestial objects. For astrophotography it's a first port of call.

First is good start to look into lie which they presented to us and ask questions and think. You have to stop appealing to authority and trust them blindly. There is so many data against ALL nasa (ru, japan, etx) activity, misions, etc which proves beyond the doubt that man never ever has been beyond lower earth orbit.
There is theories like flat earth, concave earth, hallow earth, electric or holographic universe and much more, it is way to start to break doqn programing to feed brain with alternative theories. But it does not meen they all true, but it will strongly open you eyes about deception around you. Which is actually new type of religion for technological age, which ia hidden under the name of science. That include alien fairytales, evolution, big bang and nucpeus atom theory which greately deal with bellitlement part of our brain so we would never dear to ask who we are, where we live and what is our purpose. So instead of the most powerful creature on earth, you become a slave in this sophisticated form in this sick society.
