Here are Sky's Black Friday Deals which begin tomorrow morning.
Start – Monday 21st November 2016
End – Sunday 4th December 2016
Telephone and Broadband Unlimited Deal =
£15pcm for 12 months which includes line rental, broadband unlimited and pay as you talk calls.
You will also get a Free £75 MasterCard for signing up.
Sky TV deals =
Get one of the following free gifts, along with up to 20% off any package for 12 months.
Xbox One S, 32inch LG TV, £100 or £150 Voucher, Lenovo 11inch laptop, or the best offer yet, an LG 43inch Ultra HD tv!
So it's a Black Friday deal that starts on a Monday.
Bit of a rant here but am I the only one who's getting a bit **** off with companies not sticking to when Black Friday should be.Black Friday is on a FRIDAY yet so many companies now want to string it out for over a week or more before Black Friday is even here, yet use the words BLACK FRIDAY to sell their goods.
It's as bad as Poindland who now sell loads of stuff that's more than a pound.

About the loyalty thing: I've subscibed to Sky for decades (literally) except for a one year experiment with Freesat which resulted in complaints from the family about missing certain channels and the unresponsive EPG. I don't stay with them out of "loyalty", I don't think I owe them anything and I don't think they owe me anything. It's a business transaction and if I think I can get a better deal elsewhere then I'll jump at the chance. This isn't to defend Sky and their ratcheting up subsciptions you understand (often justified by adding more great channels like "Yesterdave +1" featuring half a dozen loanshark ads every few minutes...). I just don't think "loyalty" is anything to do with staying with Sky, it's either laziness on my part or because I want what they offer.

Loyalty is for dogs.
It's 2016 and this has been happening for what, a decade now? Adapt or continue to get fleeced.

I got variety package contract finishes in February 20th 2017, I have also signed up to sky multiscreen in July 10th 2016. I pay £16.00 for variety getting 50% off and £6.00 for multiscreen 50% off as well so total I pay is £22.00 a month.
My contract finishes in February so I need to give them 31 days notice to cancel can some one help me?
1. If I cancel the variety package in February do I still have to pay for multiscreen because it finishes in mid July or can I cancel both by giving my notice in by January.
2. If I was to cancel in January and gave them 31 days notice will I get the 75% off and £100.00 credit straightaway or do I have to haggle with them.
3. If I carry on with sky what is the best way for me to get the best deal on both the packages or just the Sky package, forget the multiscreen don't even need that.
Can someone be generous enough to help me out as I'm not sure what and where I should start.
What are my options and what is going to be the best way to contact Sky by phoning Sky, going to sky chat or emailing them please share your thoughts thanks

Well I've stuck to my normal package but noticed this month my bill went up my deal ended been with them 2 years plus years previous to this. They were all for reducing the cost again so back on same deal for 10 months  all you need to say is you want to cancel and it works but not all the time as in April this year my deal ended and she did not want to give me a deal! But I managed to get rid of a few things and a small discount to bring it down. Think it depends on time of year your deal runs up. When my 10 month deal runs out now and they don't offer anything I will actually cancel. 4 years of deals and have never payed full price is pretty good

So... this appears to be the answer...you need a SmartLNB as the Sky installers call it.
Had my 1tb basic package sky Q installed this morning. He fitted the 6 port hybrid lnb with no issues at all.
He was telling me, the official line (in case the job is inspected) is to say use use the dish for a freesat box. Then they have to install the hybrid.
rvp78

When the engineer comes out, ask for a hybrid lnb.

Can you point me to where that text appears? I've expanded all collapsible sections and searched the page and still can't find it. Only "43” Ultra HD LG TV/ X Box One S/ 32" LG TV/ Lenovo Laptop: Model may vary" under the Terms and Conditions drop-down of the TV deals section.
Has anyone had experience of cancelling after the minimum term, 12 months here I believe, and is it painful/painless?
rjlawson
2 Dec 16#316
It's on sky.com/shop in small writing:
"New Sky TV customers only. 12 month minimum contracts. Set-up fees apply. Reward delivery charge of up to £9.95. 32” LG TV Model: LH510B. 43” LG TV Model: 43UH603V."

Do you mean as a Freesat add on or on the same SKY sub. That's not how their site reads.
Thanks
Chiptivo
2 Dec 16#314
You can use a sky HD and sky Q box together you need a hybrid lnb on your dish. They use them on the 2tb boxes. You need to ask nicely or get one off eBay.
Where exactly is the information that it's an LG43UH603V? This isn't mentioned explicitly anywhere on the website, which in turn means there's no commitment to this model there, which again is putting me off pulling the trigger and going for the deal.
Also, is it a perfectly clean break taking this for the minimum 12 months then cancelling? Does anyone have experience of quitting Sky after the minimum promotional period, and is it easy enough?

If your getting sky Q, make sure they fit a Hybrid LMD, because if they don't, your won't be able to use Sky HD boxes in other rooms.
The new LMD only has 2 Outputs, which feed your main Sky Q box.
The Sky Q box streams wirelessly to the multi room boxes.

well I went on sky chat after ive just left virgin..and theyve given me sky tv originals+boxset, sky unlimited fibre broadband, sky telephone and for 36.90 a month including vat and fibre compatible hub..all activation fees waivered and just 9.95 for broadband box + free £100 sky account credit..i literally chatted rubbish saying i got 75% off in the post lol he did say i could have all the above with sky movies as well for 41 quid but i didnt get it. I did try and say others got sky q+ multiroom and sky sports or cinema..but live chat advisor was having none of it..:disappointed: wonder if i can ring back and chat rubbish and say he promised sky q as well lol ..
Oh and he did say i'll need to buy a sky+hd wifi box for the tv as currently we have tivo..but seen they are £10-20 on ebay so minor really...i still saved £200-300 a year compared to their online price for new customers/putting in the laptop at roughly 100 value and £240 on my current yearly virgin price am paying now..
Don't really know if i got that an amazing deal but did save some money!

AVOID SKY Q no matter how many 'gifts' they throw at you.
If you use any sound bar or AV system, they you will have problems.
Had Sky Q for 5 days, and had problems since it was fitted. Looked into this, and guess what, plenty of reports on the sky forum page with no fix.

Had a Sky friends and family 50% off TV packages code I was going to use. Was chatting to an advisor on Live Chat, and before I got around to mentioning the code, I was offered the following deal on a 12 month contract. (which beat what I was hoping to get with the friends and family code)
Sky Q 2TB + 1 Sky Q Mini (£10 installation)
Boxsets package - (£0, should have been £38)
Multiscreen (£12)
Fibre unlimited (£10 a month, should have been £20. £39 activation fee)
Line Rental (£17.40 a month)
Total, £39.40 a month, £49 one off fee.

I had agreed a deal with an agent but I asked them to call the following day to conclude the deal as I was short for time.
Unfortunately I missed the calls but she left a number for me to dial. I did but couldn't get through to her direct.
The agent I was speaking to said they couldn't see on the notes that specific deal I was offered and was unable to offer it now.
Is there anything I can do to sort this?. I put a formal cancellation in at the end.

Depending on when your contract expires you can try & negotiate~ Mine was gonna run out next month (17m), got them to agree to £10/month rather than the existing £17.50/month which pretty much matches what I'd get if I moved to BT (about £4 more expensive over the year by staying)

28 Nov 16#292
Haha my weekend roommate just said they were leaving 1st Dec as cheaper not commuting daily and paying higher rent near work on a new lease works out cheaper.
Free Sky Broadband I got in their name with 12 months half line rental discount cant be carried forward to new address, they got termination fee waived for this new £15 contract.
I signed up for the £15 BB, £75 and £66 TCB - £3.25 a month
So Sky get more than a 1/3 more now, & I pay 2/3 less

Depends on the exchange. Some only have BT wholesale. Others have many llu providers like sky and talktalk and c&w to name a few. But then they all have to use the openreach strings between the exchange and your home.

Hello everyone, I will be a new customer to Sky here. I have just moved into my own house and have always been under the luxury of Landlords internet and TV packages. Please can someone advise me. Will be highly appreciated. Just need a decent broadband speed and may be TV (if it works out economical). I do realise, there is no Fibre in my area so its adsl internet. BB deal for £15 looks great with Master card Credit (75£) plus TCB (£66, is it working considering the package is already under an offer?). Many thanks in advance. Cheers!

Existing subscribers - Forget Black Friday Go here
Had sky tv, broadband and phone for the last couple of years but have given notice to leave. They wouldn't give me a decent renewal price even though I wasn't even asking for redicilously cheap...I don't have sport or movies and would have paid up to £45 per month to prevent the hassle of changing. They said £50+ was best they could offer so will try BT for a year I think.

Last year, when I cancelled Sky after being a customer for 10 years without a sniff of a better deal, it took them 2 months before they rang me and made me an offer I couldn't refuse. This year I cancelled again a month before that deal was due to run out and they rang me back within a few days with another acceptable offer. It is not an exact science so you may have to be patient if you are not prepared to ring them and ask for a better deal yourself.

I only want to watch documentaries, so I'd need to pay £32 a month for variety pack + my existing £27 for broadband +145.50 for a TV licence ...
too much money. is it really worth nearly a grand a year to watch murdoch's crappy TV? seriously ?

Firstly 'Black Friday' has been fabricated in this country and secondly, Christmas actually starts in October apparently so it's hardly surprising the UK commercial sector are not sticking to any kind of 'rules' regarding a commercially adopted US holiday shopping phenomina. They're also too stupid and greedy to realise that if you stretch it, it eventually becomes weaker and breaks. Essentially they're just delaying the date when they start charging us top price for everything because HA HA HA, it's a month before Christmas so if you want it, you pay it.

Just got the 75% off the Variety + Cinema bundle £12.50 for 12months + £100 credit. This was offered on family members Sky account as they'd left them within the last 12 months.
What got me riled was the fact after logging out of the deal a couple of days ago without taking the offer (wanted check their broadband deals first before pulling the trigger) I logged back in today and the 'come back to Sky' offer had reduced to 60% discount on bundles and no credit - one hell of a difference from a few days earlier !!
Don't know how they managed this as original terms & conditions stated offer open until 30th December.
Sorted original deal with a phone call - as you've got more chance live chatting with Michael Jackson than Sky.. Still suspect sales tactics me thinks

There should be a cooling off period in your contract, it's usually 14 days if I recall. It will be a faff but you should be able to give notice you're cancelling your existing contract, and taking out the new one for the lower price.
If you're lucky they may even honour the deal price for your existing contract. It's worth a shot!

Just got Sky Broadband literally last week for £22.50. Don't suppose there is anything I can do to get this BF offer price is there?
matt5cott
25 Nov 162#250
The only guaranteed way to get a "good Sky deal" is if you really don't give a toss if you have it or not.
If you "can't live" without Sky for a couple of months or a year, then they have you by the short and curlies and you're not in a good position to,
A.) Negotiate.
B.) Moan that other people get it cheaper.
No doubt one time "ringing up to leave" got you a great deal, now the "cancellation" lines are likely filled with chancers trying it on.
If you ring up to leave and actually go through with it, ie your leave date goes and you get cut off, "shockingly" they do end up ringing you (up to 3 times then they call it quits IIRC) with a better offer within a few days/weeks, but that's a few days/weeks not having Sky that many it seems simply can't bear, oh the humanity!

Loyalty is for dogs.
It's 2016 and this has been happening for what, a decade now? Adapt or continue to get fleeced.
Kreskin
25 Nov 163#248

25 Nov 16#247
I left Sky because they wanted to charge me £25 for what I could get else where for £6

Their fibre broadband is just fine, you can pay for 40Mb or 90Mb, and for £15 inc. line rental, you can't squabble at that!

Was OK on Tuesday, around 4.30pm. About 12 mins wait, that's all and friendly service. I was after a better renewal deal and as they only offered half price broadband I left it. (I got an email today offering free broadband.) Presumably the great deals on at the mo are occupying all their staff.

That's all they would offer me and I'm in the 31 days cancellation period now. I can't be bothered to push them because their unlimited fibre broadband is terrible so I'm off to Virgin. £85 a month for everything for 12 months at which point I'll renegotiate.
arotabi
24 Nov 161#233
Might sound a little harsh but it's your own fault!
You have to remember Sky is a business and answerable to its shareholders. They provide you with a service and expect to be paid. It's in their interest to maximise profits from every single subscriber.
It's been your choice to be with Sky and pay for the full package all this time - nobody has forced you. There are lots of ways you can reduce your Sky bill but maybe due to inconvenience or laziness you haven't bothered.
How about, just cancelling what you have and take out a new subscription if you desperately need to be with Sky.... or look at alternatives.
A few spaces, capitals and punctuation wouldn't go amiss either :smirk:
AW10
24 Nov 16#232
I had the same issue, and eventually found out that its because I was in the process of switching ISP & transferring number, so during the process there is a lock on your telephone number and that's why you get the message

Sky, surprisingly don't use credit agencies. If they did, they would lose most of their customer base.
Direct Debits only question the name if disputed.
Payments names on the payment frame are not checked against Sky account holders.

I have just been to the sky site and the deals all seem to be forcing me to take Sky Q, so with Sky Sports thats £33.75 per month WITHOUT broadband.
When I choose add broadband the price goes up to an £61.75 pcm.
This does not seem like much of an offer. Am I doing something wrong?
milko

I have been with sky just one year. We joined last November when they had half price offer for new customers. Started cancellation process and sky services app offered me %50 discount. Didn't bite it, after a few attempts at online chat I was given %75 discount + £100 credit. We also have sky landline and sky pro broadband but they were not giving me any deals for that. A week later I tried online chat again and this time I was offered £10 off a month on broadband + £30 credit. My suggestion is that start your cancellation process with then and believe me they will call you in no time as they hate to loose customers especially a loyal one like you.

If you're coming from Virgin fibre, then be prepared for a real step down in speed. We switched just under a year ago and I'm counting down the days until I can switch back. My 76MB fibre gives me about 20 on average down and about 2 MB upload. That's the best the cabinet can handle apparently.
If I'm playing online, the kids are Youtube or Netflix and the wife is watching something on catch up then everything grinds to a halt

HOT!
I've had Sky broadband/line rental for a year (signed up for a smilar deal to this) and all went smoothly from the start, delivered on everything they said they would. Great website to check billing, too. I only needed customer service once and used online chat. I didn't have long to wait and was dealt with by a friendly and helpful member of staff. But I couldn't haggle them down enough on a cheap renewal today (they offered something but not enough) and I will be leaving but only to save some cash (and may live to regret it). Sad to hear some people have had problems but in my opinion don't be scared off signing up with Sky.

The TV has one hdmi socket and one USB. Nothing else not even audio out and has woeful speakers, I got one about 15 months ago.
Fine in a bedroom or kids gaming but not really as a main set as you have to connect a soundbar or surround set to your box via optical and tinker with settings for audio/picture sync

If I opt for Sky original package (£20 per month), with Quidco (£121) and the £100 pre-paid MasterCard offer, does it mean I will effectively get Sky for 1 year for about £30....?
The breakdown would be:
Cost: £20*12 + £9.95 = £249.95
Cashback: £121 + £100 = £221
Net cost over a year = £28.95
I do not currently have a satellite dish on my house, I think they will install one free of charge for me as well?
Also, I am currently with Sky Broadband but do not have any TV packages. Would I be considered new customer if I sign up for a TV package now?

I wasn't too fussed about the free item and was getting sky installed on Wednesday any way at 50% off a full bundle minus sports (£28 per month) I just called up and got a free upgrade to the 2TB added on as well due to black friday but it may not get installed until January along with multiroom for an additional £12, but still good. Line rental includes pay as you talk calls so they are just offering the line rental for free. You can get this as a retention deal for any of the broadband packages (I'm only paying for unlimited fibre).

I suppose that seeing as I'm already on a 50% deal currently I shouldn't have expected any Sky Q deals for existing customers. On the plus side, my contract is due for renewal in March, which in my experience is about how long it'll take to get thru to Sky on Live Chat!

I got sky tv for 75% off with 100  but need a good bb my sky reg bb coming to an end and havnt seen no deal for fibre yet with them. What people think of Bt infinity fibre deal:
12months × 29.99 (change from bt website 39.99 when go through tcb or quidco) = 360
360 + 50 installation + 10 delivery = 420
420 - 125 bt mastercard - 97.50 tcb = 197.50
197.50 /12 months = 16.45 monthly for bt fibre
or cheaper 14.50 if you pay line a year line rental up front

We took our landline number over to Flextel 2 years ago so it's a Voip number.
It tries both our mobiles on a call blast as a voip call when we are on 4G or WiFi or falls back to an actual divert if we aren't.
We never asked about keeping the number the service is on as no-one has it, they call the old one I took to Flextel that's been in use for 19 years now!
I do know we had the number changed first time but not this time so don't know how they decide.

cullum2001
21 Nov 16#97
Ok, so there is no 20% off, (Just been on the phone with them and it had no 20% off OR £75 master card so sorry but that's either assumptions or just wrong information) to get the 43" TV you have to get the box set bundle and 2TB Sky Q box and with the basic phone and internet it comes to £77.40! More than I am paying for Virgin Media currently! To be fair he did offer me the TV for 50% off after some talking BUT without the free 43" TV or any other gifts included! So no deal... currently... Oh, and it's £35 upfront for installation for everything, not £15.

Same as you had Virgin about 5 years ago and it was terrible, switched to Sky and the ADSL was great, couldn't fault it until I moved to an area where my top speed was 3.5Mbps down. Switched back to Virgin for only Broadband and now I've moved to an area with Fibre I'm back with Sky and it's great, especially that 10Mbps up compared to the lousy 5 I was getting from Virgin.

My existing Boadband contract and prepaid line rental with Plusnet expires Nov 30 and so am really keen for this deal. Especially when if everything tracks and goes without a hitch it works out:
£115 / 12 = £9.58 a month is still a very good price.
But its frustrating that I have now tried to get this deal directly from the Sky website and via TCB redirected to the Sky website to no avail....same message "Sky is not available in your area" when I know it definitely is and was previously a customer lol!

Managed to find the deal on HUKD for Broadband. Its says £15/month, £69 TCB and £75 Mastercard.. There may be an error somewhere here with the deal, because if not then it works out £3 a week.
Anyways, upon trying to join and during tel number check, Sky says the service is not available in my area. How can this be when I was previously with Sky (on the same broadband service) just over 2 years ago?!
Anyone else experiencing the same issues?!

I'm on Infinity 1 and should be getting 52/20
Speedtest regularly shows 72/19, I sync to exchange at 80/20.
Little difference at 5pm on Thursday to 2am on Sunday.
I'm actually impressed with BT and ping pong 12 month contracts between me and the wife so we are always a new customer with x% discount and nice giftcard and Quidco that so far hasn't failed to pay out.
IRONM4N_UK
20 Nov 16#63
Check the real world speedtests gathered at thinkbroadband.
BT regularly beats sky by a mile for speed on the same services.
Don't forget too that the service promise for fault resolution is better at BT too.
Might be using the same local network, but the Sky backhaul is congested, traffic shaped and uses proxy servers to save them bandwidth.
I don't like BT but they are a superior option.
Virgin just opened up 7 villages round here, but missed mine out in the middle as we have the M1 in one way and a trainline the other :-(

I cancelled my contract on Wed last week. Then sky services offered through the sky box 60% off the TV package. Over the phone the RT offered me The below package at £44 and £99 for Q but I went to the sales team in the shopping centre and just laid out straight and within 5 minutes I walked away with Q (£15), box sets, line rental and BB for £30 for 12 months. I'm happy!

Worst broadband I have ever had. Unreliable, kept disconnecting. Three engineering visits failed to fix the problem. Little in the way of compensation offered by Sky. Openreach said it was a common problem with Sky's equipment used in the exchange but that Sky wouldn't listen. In the end I had to leave midway through a contract it was that bad. Complained to the ombudsman but found them useless as well.

Bonesy4505
20 Nov 16#57
Hi mate I had a email 2 weeks ago saying the same pretty much, I will have 60% discount for 5 years on my account as long as I don't cancel as well. I would like the sky Q 2TB setup as well but don't think they are doing any good deals on that. I don't know if it's a coincidence but my sky 2tb HD box keeps playing up now, getting the blue screen when I turn it on after leaving it on standby overnight, A friends box is the same. I'm sure sky are sending updates to knacker the older boxes so you will just upgrade to the new tech when you get so p*ssed off, rebooting your box.

20 Nov 16#56
It's well known that they will go a long way to retain customers I do it every year and anytime they try to apply a price increase, do a few minutes research online and simply tell them you don't accept that a company that is making £1.5bn profit can justify an increase or that you're not willing to pay for their £5bn spend on football rights.

Better off going through the "switch to sky from virgin" offer (google it, not on their site).

If you don't have the sports and movies, it's 50% off

it may still be a good deal, and ideal if your looking for one of them rewards as say a present, but overall, better savings are found elsewhere.
Rich069
20 Nov 16#40
the bundle you mention is a saving of approx £335 yes?? But saving £50 a month for 12 months is a £600 saving-which i believe is still avail through mse for the sports/movies/boxsets for £30 a month-and if its not, i apologise but was only a few days ago-which i have got. And even multi screen bundles via mse are still with savings of the same amount.
shukdy
20 Nov 16#39
£30.40pm for the Box Set Bundle and Xbox One S with FIFA 17 = £365 over the 12 months for what is effectively worth £700. That is a good deal whichever way you look at it. Bear in mind most new customers on average do not get close to £30 for an £80 package.
Likewise £510 over the 12 months for the box set bundle, multiscreen and a 43 inch UHD TV as well as £15 install for 2 boxes and the ability to watch in 4K. Not bad at all.

I called to get it set up but unfortunately my building's equipment (communal dish) isn't capable for Sky Q, and the building management team don't want to upgrade, so I'm snookered.
You can use the 6 ports for either and/or both:D
Cheers, Alan
He was telling me, the official line (in case the job is inspected) is to say use use the dish for a freesat box. Then they have to install the hybrid.
The guy who fitted mine, said they don't fit them.
When I gave 1 month notice to leave - they reduced my Internet speed to almost not possible to use. (Promised - 17Mb, in reality - 2Mb, last month 0.5-1Mb ) All complaints ignored. What you can say...? Disgusting!!!
Have a look here
Has anyone had experience of cancelling after the minimum term, 12 months here I believe, and is it painful/painless?
"New Sky TV customers only. 12 month minimum contracts. Set-up fees apply. Reward delivery charge of up to £9.95. 32” LG TV Model: LH510B. 43” LG TV Model: 43UH603V."
Thanks
Also, is it a perfectly clean break taking this for the minimum 12 months then cancelling? Does anyone have experience of quitting Sky after the minimum promotional period, and is it easy enough?
Cheers
Alan
It's NOT possible to use sky HD with sky Q.
The install eng confirmed it on my install.
Also worth looking into sky Q sound issue. As it's causing issues with sounds bars and AV systems.
Can you point me to the link that says you can use Sky Q together with an old SKY HD box. All the Sky forums I have seen says it is not possible.
Cheers
Alan
The new LMD only has 2 Outputs, which feed your main Sky Q box.
The Sky Q box streams wirelessly to the multi room boxes.
If you use any sound bar or AV system, they you will have problems.
Had Sky Q for 5 days, and had problems since it was fitted. Looked into this, and guess what, plenty of reports on the sky forum page with no fix.

That's hefty. I'd pay fifty max.
I've just cancelled my Sky so I'm expecting a call in the next few weeks...
I'm probably going to buy one of the LG OLED TV's that comes with the Sky Q bundle...
60% off sky tv for 12 months
£50 account credit
50% off fibre unlimited but told to phone back within the 31 days and ask for further discount on the line rental
Overall happy with the deal, probably could have got more but spent enough time getting this :-)

I only want to watch documentaries, so I'd need to pay £32 a month for variety pack + my existing £27 for broadband +145.50 for a TV licence ...
too much money. is it really worth nearly a grand a year to watch murdoch's crappy TV? seriously ?
netflix subscription for 12 months + broadband (no TV license required) = £431.00 a year.
hmm £853 or £431....
and is paying 32 pound for the telephone line alone..is there anyway i can barter her a good deal? want broadband
Is it possible to deffer installation date for 2 months? I am with Virgin at the moment and 12 months contract is finishing in mid Feb 2017. Is it possible to get this offer now and wait until Mid Feb for setup?
Thanks
Please
All channels for 12 months. £42 month for 12 months. Anyone want the guys number?
If you're lucky they may even honour the deal price for your existing contract. It's worth a shot!
GO! Forget Black Friday.
Free Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6" Tablet Black Quad Core 1.3GHz 1.5GB RAM 8GB Android with discounted Box Set Bundle - was £6, now £4.80.
Galaxy Tab E - £128.49 Amazon
Box Sets - £4.80pm x 12 = £57.60pa + free Tablet!
Or
Free Box Sets and a £130 Tablet for £57.60!
Either way, that's a win! Bearing in mind I need neither! Damn you HUKD!
Hhhheeaaattt OP
I have Sky phone and broadband but not TV. if I go through quidco and buy TV as a new customer will I get quidco cash back or it will class me as existing customer since I have phone and net? please help..
It's 2016 and this has been happening for what, a decade now? Adapt or continue to get fleeced.
I got £30 off the installation fee also.
Direct Debits only question the name if disputed.
Payments names on the payment frame are not checked against Sky account holders.
When I choose add broadband the price goes up to an £61.75 pcm.
This does not seem like much of an offer. Am I doing something wrong?
I'm a current SKY HD customer.
I've been offered SKY Q + a mini box + all the channels and box sets + broadband and sky talk for £49.99 a month
Sneaking in a £1 charge for voicemail.
If I'm playing online, the kids are Youtube or Netflix and the wife is watching something on catch up then everything grinds to a halt
Can i just cancel sky and order again under a different name ? Anyone done this? Do I have to wait for the 30 days to be up?
I just got a years worth of Sky and a box for £30 for the year.
£2.50 a month
Thanks
We were unable to check if Sky Broadband & Talk is available. Please try again.
I have an existing service with Talktalk and put in my landline & postcode
I've always had both.
so it's either the £154 quidco or the free tv etc - unless anyone else has found a better way?
First Lady offered me £8.50 off. Went to cancellations and they offered me 40% off. Thought I would hold out... and they have put me on 30 day cancellation...
Lets see what happens now...
Their systems check for postcode, surname match.
Fine in a bedroom or kids gaming but not really as a main set as you have to connect a soundbar or surround set to your box via optical and tinker with settings for audio/picture sync
can be used on the app and even chrome cast!
I'm taking them up on the basic TV package. What is best to go for..
32” LG TV (worth £179), Lenovo laptop (£179) or £100
I am thinking the laptop and then selling it?
Does anyone know the model and the sell-ability?
All have been adamant that I need to be a completely new customer to be eligible for Black Friday deals... but they can offer this other deal that's nowhere near as good.
Order process kicks me out saying I'm an existing customer, and when I sign in all I get is the Samsung tablet offer. Bummer...
Add Sky Cinema
£37 extra a month for 12 months
Offer ends 4 December
No thanks! I am guessing that taking up the offer will cancel any existing discounts I have on my account.
Line rental is almost £20, so they give you everything else for free?
I would prefer my deal than these 'deals' with free gifts. I signed up 8 weeks ago via live chat.
Im an existing customer with my broadband and telephone up for renewal
I've let my Sky contract elapse so that I can get a good deal on Black Friday. BT not an option as the anytime calls don't include mobiles, and Sky is out of the question as I'm an existing customer.
Sky Q 1 TB
Box Sets TV Package
Sky Talk Anytime Extra Landline Package
Line Rental
38MB Fibre Internet
For £21 a month. So for me these Black Friday deals for new customers are not that brilliant. However, if you are new then I guess they could be!
Sky box sets package
2tb box
1 x multi-room
line rental
broadband unlimited
£43.13 a month (usually £77)
£15 install, no other upfront costs.
Happy with this as I wasn't interested in the free gift etc
As its only ADSL its more of a direct competitor to Vodafone's broadband package and will likely become a permanent deal.
Has anyone managed to place the Sky Talk and Broadband order online??
Is the offer below for new Sky customers or just new broadband customers? Have Sky Tv but not broadband and this is not the amount I am getting online?
Telephone and Broadband Unlimited Deal =
£15pcm for 12 months which includes line rental, broadband unlimited and pay as you talk calls.
You will also get a Free £75 MasterCard for signing up.
It tries both our mobiles on a call blast as a voip call when we are on 4G or WiFi or falls back to an actual divert if we aren't.
We never asked about keeping the number the service is on as no-one has it, they call the old one I took to Flextel that's been in use for 19 years now!
I do know we had the number changed first time but not this time so don't know how they decide.
Visit sky using this link and buy the service you are interested in. Turn off any ad blockers etc that stops you receiving cookies so that it properly tracks your visit.
£15 x 12 = £180 + £10 = 190
- 75 mastercard
- £69 TCB
= £36
/12
= £3 a month.
But even without the TCB
£115 / 12 = £9.58 a month is still a very good price.
But its frustrating that I have now tried to get this deal directly from the Sky website and via TCB redirected to the Sky website to no avail....same message "Sky is not available in your area" when I know it definitely is and was previously a customer lol!
Anyways, upon trying to join and during tel number check, Sky says the service is not available in my area. How can this be when I was previously with Sky (on the same broadband service) just over 2 years ago?!
Anyone else experiencing the same issues?!
I've already got Sky Q on a retentions deal but have just added Box Sets, Multiroom, Movies and Sport to an order. Price is below, along with the rewards available...
Add half price Sky Sports for 12 months
Add both Sky Cinema and Sky Sports half price for 12 months
Free Samsung Galaxy Tab E with the Box Sets Bundle
Add half price Sky Go Extra for 12 months
Add half price MUTV for 12 months
Add half price LFCTV for 12 months
Add half price Chelsea TV for 12 months
lmao
OP....you there?
Its a good way of doing it but wont suit me if I cannot keep the landline number.
Just updated.....good deal.
and also is there any deal on fibre?
Speedtest regularly shows 72/19, I sync to exchange at 80/20.
Little difference at 5pm on Thursday to 2am on Sunday.
I'm actually impressed with BT and ping pong 12 month contracts between me and the wife so we are always a new customer with x% discount and nice giftcard and Quidco that so far hasn't failed to pay out.
Virgin just opened up 7 villages round here, but missed mine out in the middle as we have the M1 in one way and a trainline the other :-(
Been informed that I'm on a 60% discount which will remain valid until 2022 as long as I remain a customer and don't cancel (tv package)
Never heard of anything like that before
And that doesn't Include sports movies ?
\
How do I get this
Ours was £55/month for Q 2TB + multi screen + Sports + Movies and a £100 Tesco voucher.
If you don't have the sports and movies, it's 50% off
Likewise £510 over the 12 months for the box set bundle, multiscreen and a 43 inch UHD TV as well as £15 install for 2 boxes and the ability to watch in 4K. Not bad at all.
Therefore cold from me.
Cancel then!
Sky are making fools out of you if you don't threaten or leave them from time to time.
Even if not free, a discount on 4K TV would be a good move. I know a lot people who despite liking the feature set of Q, have held off as they feel a 4K TV would be needed.
I saw it mentioned on another Sky post on here that there could potentially be a discount on the £12 SkyQ multi-room fee.
Why would they offer you something if you're just going to pay anyway?
