It's 5p less than sending the parcel directly via myhermes.
Myhermes charge £2.75 if that helps.

Spend the extra 5p and go directly with myHermes. That way, if you have any issues, they will deal with it more promptly than dealing with a 3rd party/middle man company.

Amazingly, I found that parcel2go refunded me for a lost parcel within days. Hermes took a bit longer. RMail can take 30 days to give you your first reply and require far more from you. RMail are lenient maybe the first time you make your claim but if it is of any value or a subsequent claim they then start ramping up the requirements in my experience. They also require the recipient to return a completed form - that is where i hit a brick wall as not a single one of my buyers would return that form so i'd get nothing back from RMail. That is RM and domestic claims though. For international they are easier to get compensation from.

Don't think would use hermes. Fella collected parcel other day,1 day late no apology just said "parcel" while smoking a cigarette at my front door. Then goes to get my receipt takes about 10 mins and just squashes it in the letterbox. Not the best 1st impression.

both companies are a joke. insurance is a joke. you are covered for only the amount you paid for the item, not replacement cost. they won't refund postage costs which is a joke....they lost an item in between collection from the shop to their depot. I bought and the only way it could have got lost it is if a staff member stole it. 150.00 secondhand kef pair of speakers. ni comms. they dudnt think it was missing. initially refused to pay and only paid up I threatened legal action and to report them to the ombudsman. no apology. no postage refund. refund process was a joke too. t.ssers

no they bloody won't or don't. they steal your item they hope you don't notice. make you wait weeks until you've had enough and threaten legal action, they they refund you what you paid but not the postage you paid them for zero service
