IT should be £20 per TB now as there has been reasonable number of deal in the past in this HUKD selling 5TB HDD for less than £100. If it was £20 per TB I will bite it ...
I wonder if anyone finds a deal for 8TB HDD for around £160 ?

2 year warranty:-(
Dare I say it - SEAGATE - once bitten forever shy. Although pending current situation with WD or Digital River or who ever they call themselves goes....
That's a lot of data to go south with no comeback!
Most external drives come with 2 year warranty but the drives inside if bought separate come with 3+ years, go figure...
If you plan to remove drives from housing then the warranty is Zero, you might as well just by the drive separate and get a PCI controller if you don't have enough headers.

Great backup device.
Obviously you wouldn't want to store important info in *any* single place!

As someone has already said, I wouldn't trust Seagate with anything important, especially at 8TB!

The drive inside is actually proving to be quite reliable this time round (which yes, is a surprise for a seagate):
