RB4 is ace if you've got a large collection of DLC from the previous games (I've now got 260 after buying the RB3 export pack)
My experience with RB4 was just like your GH one. Plug it in, start playing and instantly start having fun.
I did have a few controller disconnection issues on the first day, but it takes 2 mins to update the firmware on the guitar to sort that. Even without doing that it works fine as long as you've got line of sight with your console.

Usually if it lets you reserve, there is stock there. However, it may be the last one, so if you have travelled, open the box and check it over before driving home. Nothing worse than two trips to end up back where you started.

Well I spent 8 + hours trying to get rockband 4 to work, Guitar heros ,plugged in and worked straight away and spent 4 hours playing so yes im enjoying it :smiley: .

After spending 7 hours trying to update the firmware on the guitar as it keeps losing Bluetooth on the ps4 which I didn't know was a common fault since 2015 , you update it by Mac or pc by Bluetooth but cant get any further with the firmware cos it still keeps losing connection, wish I never bought it now :disappointed: .

I have a reservation for 1 at Buxton 32A Spring Gardens,Buxton,Derbyshire,SK17 6DE which was extended until Friday 25th by Argos customer service as I have now found one closer.

Massive queue in Argos, but picked up the Xbox One game, took it home, got indoors, turned the box over, and damaged box. No wonder they handed it over upside down. Sounds like something may have snapped inside as well as there is something rather small falling about loose inside. No more stock online though, so can't decide if I want to risk opening it (obviously if it is damaged inside I can return anyway) or just return sealed as the box is damaged anyway.

Reserved one last night and it said it was 20 miles away and 40 mins drive , put it in satnav this morning and was 38 miles and 1 and half hours journey and I did set off but changed my mind 6 miles in, glad I did now as I would have been **** traveling all that way .

Just to clarify about old dlc exports for PS4, only Rock Band 1, 3 and Blitz are exportable. The rest have been infinitely held up as a 'tool' of Sony Europe's is broken. I have been regularly contacting Sony and Harmonix, and both are silent on the matter as legal action has been threatened (not by myself). Just want to warn anybody who is expecting to be able to play all their old dlc as they will be heavily disappointed. There are a few track packs and songs broken too.

Any of the 360 controllers should work if you buy the 360 wireless controller adapter (or just plug in a wired one)

I'm open to correction, but none of the GH or Rock Band games made it to the PC, so you'll be stuck playing stuff like Frets on fire.

Best bet is to either buy a previous gen console and use your old peripherals if you don't want one of the current gen consoles.

reserved and bought 2 copies in store just an hour ago. the initial price on screen came up around £139. they changed it no problem once I had shown them the reservation email

They sell it for that but the trade-in value (for PS4 at least) is between £8 - £13 so you wouldn't be making any money.

It was listed as £19.99 on both the website and their instore machines.

I reserved two, bought one and a guy from my work took the other reservation - had the same argument and they were fine with selling it at the lower price.

Haven't played this but it looks like it has a really weak song list, only worth it if you own the previous games in my opinion. I'm really enjoying guitar hero live, and the online play lists are really fun

​New guitar is harder on gh live as not only do you have to got the notes at the same break neck speed on the highest two difficulties, you also have to make shapes with your fret hand to get the chord patterns right both laterally and vertically.
