Do you really want a second hand tv which has been on 7 days a week for months, moved around, proded and poked for about the same price as a brand new one with a 6 year guarantee?

You do give a compelling reason not to get one. If the OLED was like over £1k cheaper and with a 6 year guarantee I would but TBH I do prefer to open then box myself and be the first user. Nothing better .

I'm still happy with my refurbished Panny P42x50b I bought for £123 2 and a half years ago :stuck_out_tongue: Wouldn't feel comfortable risking much more on ex-demo though.

Always have this on at richer sounds... occasionally advertise it but the deal is always on.

Exactly, i've noticed similar to this many times on other open box items from RS. The prices are never that much lower than what they usually sell for...... but they always quote RRP to make it look like a better deal than it really is.

It's like looking for a needle in a haystack in trying to find a bargain here. The best deals are found looking at each store individually but those items are all collection only and just 1 year warranty.

As much as I like Richer Sounds, I've had nothing but bad luck with any open box items I've bought from them, a pair of Grado SR80i headphones that quite literally fell apart within 3 hours of being in my possession. Two Denon DVD players that wouldn't play a huge number of discs and had wonky trays. A blu-ray player that had a dodgy HDMI socket and started playing up while testing it, just before I had to give it to someone as a present!
Don't get me wrong, got refunds for them all, but I always got the impression that faulty items just ended up back in the 'refurbished' pile to be sold!
