New Orleans, 1968. The South is in turmoil, rocked by the American Civil Rights Movement and an unpopular war in Vietnam. And New Orleans is dirty as hell. Those long, sticky nights are the perfect backdrop for the dark business of crime, and 2K really makes the most of it as a setting for the latest game in the Mafia series.
You play as Lincoln Clay, a disenfranchised Vietnam vet returning from the theatre of war and looking for a place to call home. Orphaned as a child, he finally finds the family he never had, only to see it wrenched away and slaughtered by the Italian mob. Lincoln sets his mind on revenge against the most powerful crime operation in the city and goes to war, unsettling the balance of power in the bayou and taking a piece of it for himself in the process.
Mafia III, like its predecessors, is an open world game. Players must choose their own path to revenge. Will you use cunning, stalking and deception to get your retribution and build your empire, or opt for all-out force?
The action plays out against the backdrop of a painstakingly-rendered city that oozes atmosphere and period detail. The night is yours to take...
Probably not, doesn't add that much anyway (Assuming you mean the family kickback)

I've just completed this game. It's got loads of stick since it's release and yes there are issues with it. But the story on a whole is really good. It would make a great gangster movie. Just a shame the developers wasn't rushed to releasing it early. Another year in development and this would have been up there with GTA 4/5.

No worse than usual for 'AAA' games. It's getting on for a month and a half since release and still selling for £30+ new.

Well what you got to remember is that this is around £32 before the discount is applied, and its around £35 new, so its actually technically held its price better than the new COD.

Still selling for more than call of duty has been :man:

Indeed, though CoD seems to have dropped in price usually quickly compared to most.

it is a single player game... tbh you could always wait till it gets cheaper... not like it's a must have game atm

Decent game, only complaints are the low graphics on console and the lack of mission variety. It's fun in short bursts.
