Noise Cancelling means there is some technology in the headphones that tries to cancel out external sounds. Some one more techie can probably explain the science.
To be fair the Noise cancelling on the more expensive ones is quite basic so these are a bargain if that is the only difference. The big selling factor is the wireless anyway.

Well this sounds like a better deal than the Argos one if the quidco £10 doesn't track. The sound from the Argos noise cancelling model didn't differ much to my ear..

Yes I think these ones are different to the Argos ones.
These are the SHB3060BK's
Argos ones are the SHB8850NC's
and as far as I can see the only difference is the noise cancellation factor. Still seems quite a good deal though!

depends on your expectations, I walk the dog along a path next to the motorway and the noise cancelling in the Argos one works well to the 'drone' of the traffic going past.
