I bought one of these as a student and my mum 'borrowed' it.

It takes around 2 hours to warm up and start cooking on high. I left it in slow once and it was lukewarm after several hours, not the best one..

Gotta love a slow cooker. Picked up a ham on the bone not cured from the butcher 3.1kg £4.99. Slapped in the slow cooker along with some apples & nom mom nom all week long.
I do gammon in coke in ours on boxing day, also a nice bit of brisket is perfect for a slow cooker as it holds together a little more than the more expensive cuts.

I've bought this, it's a great slow cooker however it has no light indication so it's easy to leave on accidentally

Thanks. Just returned the Lakeland crap i bought. Appears Lakeland are just buying from Far East on some special offers. Paid premium for their brand and worse than Wilco.
