Surely if you put it 5 inches away to get 60" view it would be in the way ?

You could strap it to your head, in which case it would be in the way. It doesn't if you use it normally.

You can put it by the ceiling, so the picture is below it; or on a low shelf, so the picture is above.

had one from amazon, it went back the picture focus and the way the image didn't lay flat across - image quality was good but too much compromise for me though I love the idea.
From what I can see you need a perfectly flat surface for this to work well, 2 different screens I use didn't work for it along with a wall. also tried weighting the screen to pull it more flat which didn't work.

Saw the techmoan review ages ago and have lusted after one of these ever since. So tempted at the price but as someone mentioned, the non-eu version seems to be the better model. Torn. Hmpff.

Same here I've decided it's not worth it with the problems so gunna go with the lg450ug it's only 720p but think it's the better option at £460

I'm tempted but it's only 1000 lumens, wouldn't be very good in a light room

Bought this recently for the bedroom, absolutely love it. I wouldnt get one for the lounge as it isnt bright enough. The fan is a bit annoying on the brightest setting but the medium and low settings its very quiet or inaudible. Speakers on it are terrible(my phone sounds better) so you will need some externals
Friends in Italy in c3.5m ceiling'd apartment got one of these this year. They project onto a very tall/wide/flat white painted wall ie has a projection space on a far grander scale than my & other UK friends/relatives homes could ever achieve!
In daylight it's a little 'dim' but usable; evenings with lights off it's jolly impressive providing something like a 100" image [which they tell me is greater than specs provide for]. It's also very good with 3D, although very little material to feed it with for that!
Obviously it's only FullHD, so the larger image you project [ie further you move the projector out] the grainier/dimmer it becomes; and as been mentioned its fan isn't silent, though I only tend to notice its noise at the end of a movie etc when stop/eject has been pressed.
Personally waiting for 65+ 4K OLED at reasonable price.
