£17/£18 in Argos and Tesco which makes smyths original price quite steep. Also Tesco has a 3 for 2 on toys coming up in a few days

Its still £29.99 at Toys R Us and Lego... So £29.99 is the RRP... So still a great deal if your kids are into Lego Marvel. The future tesco deal sounds great though. Make sure you post it when you get it :-)

No..... the "RRP" as you put it is irrelevant if multiple retailers have had the item for an extensive period for only a couple of pounds more.
I picked one up for £12 effective in the Argos 3-for-2.
Just making it clear to others that the saving is not as big as it appears that's all.

Great.. thanks for your help with the info. Hey everyone, if you pop over to argos you can pick it up for the sale price of £17.99. More expensive than this deal but people seem to be pointing out this is a poor deals due to the fact it is on sale at 2 other places for more money. amazing!!! Its not on the 3 for 2 anymore, so if you have anymore wisdom to dish out please go ahead. I'll be sitting on the edge of my seat waiting... just saying ;-)

I'm sorry to hear that you can't grasp the concept that if something has recently been cheaper it might be wise to wait a little and see if it is that price again.
Also as I am sure you can tell we are also pointing out that the "£30 to £15" reduction is not as it seems, since the item has been £18 more or less since release at various retailers, and indeed less than £15 very recently.
Just helping out other HUKD'ers with the info. Take it or leave it it really makes no difference to me.
This reminds me of the person arguing recently that their "2gb for £10" SIM deal was worthwhile even when the previous week there had been a "4gb for 60p" deal (which comes up every 2-4 months on rotation). My advice - if the item has very recently been cheaper then wait around it will be cheaper again.
Good money saving is about carefully considering purchases, looking at price history and so on. Not being fooled by "wow looks it's half price" banners when that's simply not the case.

Bottom line it's a decent price - with the set retiring soon. :-)

True it's retiring soon, and it's been around this price ever since release, and in fact cheaper very recently.
