In the cappuccinos and lattes you get 2 pods per drink one with the coffee element and then the other with the milk, the milk pod is just whole milk powder mixed with a bit of sugar then when it goes under the machine it puts it under pressure to make the froth. Take a look at this one from Asda HERE

Good price but I'm put off by the fact that unlike a similarly priced Tassimo these aren't automatic.

I have this machine, I bought to replace a tassimo's which died. On a positive note the drinks/water are hotter than the tassimo's, the boxes of pods are cheaper, and the machine takes up very little room.
On a negative, the water tank is redicously small, you need to refil after 2 lattes (more accurately you'll get two and a half lattes from a tank)
It's not automatic, so you do have to guess when using the 2pod drinks
It has a bizarre red electric cable!!
I'm waiting for a deal to come up on the bigger automatic dulce gustos

Coffee is awful, artificial tasting 'milk' pods, nespresso is much better.

We have both machines in our house... I prefer the Krups. It offers more than one mouthful, is by far cheaper and theres more variety.

And Lavazza Modo Mio with the milk frother. My Tassimo is gathering dust since I got one.

Nespresso kill babies though.
I use a Tassimo - or, I have one and use it a bit. But will likely look at aeropress, or a hirai drip filter.
Pod coffee really is overpriced, wasteful, and likely bad for your health (milk powder/UHT milk are bad, loads of plastics, etc.)
Filter coffee is the healthiest coffee from what I can tell. The paper filter filters out chemicals linked with heart disease etc. So arguably healthier than espressos etc.
