This is full HD 23.8" IPS monitor, from a well known manufacturer, for under £100, and with a two year guarantee included, which seems a very good deal. I have purchased it to use for photo editing.
I ordered this yesterday from John Lewis at £109.95 and I am awaiting delivery. Since then, Curry's have lowered their price from £149.99 to £99.99, and John Lewis have further reduced their price to £99.95.
I have now submitted a price match claim to John Lewis to match their latest price reduction.

Still available on eBay, Currys & PcWorld. 1 year of guarantee only though.
I reserved in store at Curry's only to be told someone hadn't updated the stock checked and they didn't have any. The system was picking up the display units  all sorted now but a little frustrating!

If you can output to HDMI, yes. The stand is designed like that so you can place a laptop under the monitor more elegantly.

Exactly. I have this monitor and it's fantastic for gaming! So smooth. Also has an Overdrive function in the menu that reduces the response time to 7ms for gamers. Disabled by default to save power.

It will work fine on a Mac so long as it has a HDMI port. You will only need a dongle if you have a very recent MacBook that doesn't have HDMI. If that's the case you will need USB C to HDMI dongle

I have just connected up the monitor and the default brightness setting on start up was set to 90, which was far too bright so I have dropped it to 40.
For anyone trying to justify a reason for buying this particular monitor, the power consumption, with the brightness set to 40, is 11 watts, so you will be helping to save the planet

JL site says 5ms response time and wall mountable...?
giltbrook to mkara
26 Nov 162#14
It is wall mountable, but apparently it needs an optional special bracket which slots into where the desk stand fits, the optional bracket can then be attached to a Vesa bracket.
Due to the slim profile of these monitors, it is probably not surprising that the manufacturers are a bit wary of fitting Vesa mounts, the top section of the monitor is only 15mm thick, so there would not be much room for error in fixing screw sizes.
The monitor has just arrived, I have also just received an email from John Lewis stating they will be refunding me £10 to match their price reduction from the £109.95 price I paid yesterday.

Not recommended for gaming, I'm pretty sure a gaming monitor with 144hz refresh rate will take advantage of his hardware so he can play with super smooth framerates.
