I've just picked up two CC audios from Currys and they both kill my router. :disappointed:

How much customer service so you really need for a £15 item though? You can spend that on lunch.

I would have to contest this based on recent experience.
purchased a pebble watch in December last year. it went faulty 3 weeks ago.
contacted them online and they told me to take it in to store.
Issued a full refund within 5 minutes.
I was impressed...especially as I had bought a newer pebble this year and was only going to sell the other on Ebay.

Remember the words of Mark Twain - 'Never argue with a Currys salesman. He'll drag you down to their level, and beat you with experience''.

Nope, must say, my last 6+ items - chromecasts, kettle, nowtvboxes, etc - have been all good (sealed, etc) delivered quick, free and with cashback. I'd have no hesitation ordering again.

I've ditched mine in favour of bluetooth. I don't seem to maintain a steady connection. My WiFi signal is strong. Maybe it's my phone. I've reinstalled the app a couple of time, but it's so sketchy.

Yea mine does occasionally just disconnect from the things which is a little annoying. Don't know why it does it.

Same here - it would work fine for a bit and then not reconnect. Mine's on eBay currently - latest bid £18 +p&p! :man:

Am I right in thinking this needs a Wi-Fi network to function? I can't connect to it using say Wi-Fi direct and then use cached music or stream over mobile data.
--Edit--
After a bit more Googling, it appears that it's possible if you're willing to use some workarounds. Normal usage is for your phone to be on the same Wi-Fi network as the CCA, and that network needs to allow device to device communication (most hotel networks prevent this, for example).
