It appears you cannot remove the grill plates for cleaning which is a deal breaker for me.

Heat it up a bit and use a bit of kitchen roll. It's really is that simple to to clean.

I have had three different models of these grills & the one I had with removable plates gave me more problems than the rest, uneven heating especially.
I think ultimately the useful life of these grills is determined by the integrity of the non stick coating. Once that becomes unreliable I buy a new grill. Just reserved this.

FYI this doesn't come with the traditional/typical spatula/scraper. For anyone that doesn't already have a collection of them. also the drip tray is fairly low capacity.
