delivery costs are high making the total cost £55.49 for those unable to collect from the store but even including that the total is still a fair amount cheaper than anyone else that I can see.

Need a high quality semi modular 400ish watt psu for the media server. Hopefully something shows up by black friday.
Edit: I may just go for this incase I add a gpu to the media server in future for game streaming...
This seems to tick all the boxes too. Free delivery as well for forum members. Very hard to resist.
Update: Ordered

Very nice deal, particularly if you're OCUK forum member with sufficient post count to qualify for free postage. 5 years warranty, jap capacitors, 140mm fan, EVGA customer service and £45 for 650W PSU - thats a Black Friday deal for sure.

Ah, so someone that spams the OCUK forum to become 'A Don' gets free delivery. I never have liked this company.

That whole system was setup by the original notoriously moronic owner and made it easy to boycott them. It has since been sold though.

Originally you needed only 25 or 30 posts to become eligible for free postage, its 200 now? And spammy posts will only get you banned there :stuck_out_tongue:
Its a decent size community though, somthing like 150 000 members nowadays so I suppose they had to change the rules a bit.

Ludicrous price for postage. I'll still consider, but I can't find a decent review of the product yet.
I can't believe the price of postage - and a nonsense that you have to be the purchaser to collect.
Incidentally, if anyone in Cheltenham is considering ordering, I'd be interested in buying two between us and sharing postage. Send me a message.

Nonsense. EVGA's higher end PSUs are made by Super Flower and Seasonic, the two best OEMs in the business. It's simply not possible to do any better, and you'll find that it's their designs inside 90% of higher end units (along with the odd one from the likes of Flextronics and Delta), and EVGA combine that with the best warranty service around. You do get what you pay for, but that goes for any brand. Don't think you're getting a premium unit full of premium components just because it has 'Corsair' or something on the box if you're not paying the price for them. Most companies that rebrand PSUs from various OEMs sell both cheap crap and amazing high end stuff. The name on the box means nothing unless you know who actually designed and built the PSU.
People are always looking to cheap out on the PSU since it doesn't offer a tangible performance uptick, yet it's one of the most important components in the whole system, and the only one which has high potential to take others with it if it fails. EVGA are one of the absolute best options for a decent PSU though, with the likes of their Supernova G2 (Super Flower-built) and GS (Seasonic) lines.
