I have one of these. Good machine, and a great price. My one criticism is that when it decides it wants descaling you HAVE to descale it before you can make any more coffee. Not good if it happens first thing in the morning. Perhaps better than you constantly putting it off until it breaks, I suppose.

?? I have this in silver (4200) and mine still makes coffee and works fine if the descale light is on - you can ignore the light for as long as you want and carry on using the machine as normal - it certainly doesn't force you to descale.

Anybody know if there is any difference in this model and the silver one (apart from colour) On Amazon. The Black model is cheaper for some reason?

There's no difference. The letter at the end means either b = black or s= silver
Mine arrived from Amazon today, scratched :-( don't understand how though both the external and internal packaging was intact and didn't look like a returned grade A. Amazon dispatching a replacement.
Opening post
Silver still £229.99
**Now £199 (Black Friday)**
