New band from Cubot (updating the V1). Review linked below.
On a two day flash sale at Gearbest - they say they won't ship till Nov 26th and it will come unregistered air mail with the free delivery option. You can pay extra for faster delivery etc. They show estimated delivery times and prices during checkout and you can choose then, as well as getting delivery insurance.
At £11.99 there shouldn't be any additional tax or customs charge. It sounds like a contender for the Mi Band 2 which is usually around £19 on offer. The flash sale offer is only for the black version. If you're a new customer and register with Gearbest (during checkout), you get 60 points which can be used on the order when you activate the account and log back in - that reduces the cost by another 95p. Payment was shown and taken in pounds although their email receipt showed dollar values.
Features of the band include:
- All-weather heart rate monitor: it can monitor your heartbeat during the day
- Sports trail track: combined with mobile phone GPS, it will real-time record your sports trail, distance, calories consumed, steps, etc., not only a pedometer function
- Intelligent remind: including alarm, calls, SMS, sedentary reminder, intelligent anti-lost (if your phone goes out of range), etc, not only vibration but also screen display. If you get a call, it will display the caller's name, or the caller's ID if he / she is a stranger
- Share your data with your friends on the WeChat, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
- Remote camera: control the smartphone and take photos within 6m distance, and front and back camera
- 30 days data store
- 0.88 inch OLED screen with 128 x 32 resolution
- Splashproof (not waterproof)
- Sedentary reminder (encourages you to move around)
- Soft TPU strap, adjustable length 120-210mm.
Here's a link to an expired deal at £14.91 two weeks ago which mentions possible Quidco / TCB.
Edited for spelling, added info etc.

Why do you have to turn your head to read the display?

As it is a heart monitor, it works best when worn on the inside of your wrist, so when you hold your inner wrist up to your face, the display will be read easily, without needing you to crane your neck.

I had a bad experience with Gearbest earlier this year, when after 10 weeks of waiting, and being informed to wait longer, they finally admitted the goods may have been lost in post. Gearbest would not re send the item and offered a partial refund less than 50% as I had not taken optional postage insurance to cover loss in carriage. Fortunately AMEX pulled the payment on charge back. Beware!

How accurate is the heart rate monitor? Does it work reliably when doing sports?

My Mrs and I both had Cubot phones. There's a reason they're cheap, one of the worst purchases I've ever made, both phones had problems from the very beginning.
