I don't see them being 7.1 at this price, I might be wrong.

7.1 in headphones is either a bunch of tiny, crappy speaker about 5mm apart or just virtual 7.1 and a regular speaker. In either case, you're better off with a better set of stereo cans + dolby headphone. The sound stage is much larger and it makes it MUCH easier to pick out direction of sound.
7.1 headphones are a gimmick.
Wouldn't recommend the Raptor HS40, mic went out just after 1 year so couldn't exchange it and lost the receipt. Headset went out after 2 years.

The 7.1 version of this headset is great. The direction of sound is clear as day. Superb audio for a good price.

Was just pointing out that virtual 7.1 can be had in that price range, not advocating Raptor HS40.
I've tested these with virtual 7.1 and they were pretty awesome, hence why I was asking about 7.1 in the first place. Mic is not the best but for 55 quid they are a decent set.

Toy headphones with pseudo-7.1? Enjoy!
But here is Raptor HS40 7.1 for £31.50 http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing-accessories/computer-accessories/headsets-and-microphones/corsair-raptor-hs40-gaming-headset-black-21646205-pdt.html
Don't see any reason to buy these without 7.1.

But I've checked in store and it's the void stereos. Still - Not a bad price.
