This seems really good value when comparing prices with Clarins official website, (although boots ml sizes are smaller).

Yeah the "offer" is 10% off for orders over 40. You're still able to get it though, just not eligible for the 10% off.

does anyone know if clarins test on animals?

In 1987 Clarins was the first French cosmetic company to cease testing on animals

Since 2012, it's been illegal for any cosmetic product sold in the EU to have been tested on animals anywhere in the world (both finished products and ingredients).
HOWEVER, some non-EU countries will not allow products to be sold there unless they have been tested on animals. So, for example, if a company wants to sell in mainland China, they have to agree to have their products animal tested (usually, as I understand, by a third party) before going on sale there. Clarins have chosen to sell in China, so their products that are sold there are tested on animals.
Personally, I don't buy any cosmetics that don't carry the Leaping Bunny logo (which means the company don't sell anywhere animal testing is required) but that's just me.
