Got this and a Hitachi. It was fine doing my decking. Drill a few holes in masonry. It's fine as a light DIY drill. If you are a keen DIYer you will need at least 4 more drills. The SDS demolition, the dremel, the cordless hammer drill and the mains hammer drill, etc etc
the battery was perfectly good and with a second on charge I could work all day on a herringbone flipping deck.....

Great diy drill for that price OP - Thanks.
I've just snapped one up as a xmas gift.
Maybe cdb1 can show us a better drill at that price (although I very much doubt it) .
It's a real pain only having one battery. The Bosch one is £30 more with two batteries, which brings it into competition with a whole load of other drills.

You can't compare a hammer drill with a rotary drill. Totally different beasts. For the average Joe DIYer this is perfect. I have the same one with 2 batteries but is cost £90 - I've never even used one of the batteries - done a few shelves, bit of IKEA flat packing, pictures - your usual stuff. Brilliant bit of kit. I'll vote hot.
Never change a battery again and a closer comparison to your Argos example :stuck_out_tongue:
Great Find OP - Great drill for the money - Heat Added

Great drill, great price. Have two of the 1st generation ones & still going strong after 6 years. Does most things any DIYers needs & 1.5ah OK for most DIY jobs.
