Just used the blue one to cut a little bit of skirting board to fit the bookcase, would of been pretty awkward with a saw unless I removed the skirting altogether.
One of those tools that can save you a lot of hassle and plenty of uses for it.

Nah no way it has a plastic part in the gearbox that fails. Spend once and get the gop 250w as it's on offer at screwfix for £90.
Love my blue battery version, one of those tools you wish you had bought years ago.

Surprised that the product has plastic gearing. Many of the low cost Chinese stuff often used for shop brands has sintered or powder metallurgy parts for gearing with plastic just used for holding in place. However its clear that Bosch are now using lower quality Chinese manufacturer's for their green range where as previously they used them only for their skill range of tools. Some also just seem to be Chinese products assembled in Europe typically Hungary. Not convinced by Bosch quality nowadays but normally physical inspection of a tool instore gives you a pretty good idea of overall quality. Better still reviews of end users.
You read now of Bosch mains drills failing on first use but my old Bosch drill over 30 years old is still going strong (made in Sweden not Germany).

Good price but these are poor quality. Search some of the forums. I had one and the armature broke. Apparently a very common problem - they shake themselves to pieces. Bought a replacement one which lasted 15 mins. Useless. Might be worth a punt at the price but be warned.

What do people end up doing with these 'multifunction' tools?
I assume they are great for cutting inaccessible nails in stud work, but I can't really think of much else that isn't done much better by a couple of other £20 tools

If you ever have to remove a broken window in a wooden frame especially if its double glazed with Butyl putty, the mutlitool will get it out in one piece in a couple of minutes. Without it the window has to be removed with a hammer, and then the mess on the frame cleaned up with a chisel.
They cut skirtings & architraves for wood flooring they'll even cut a floorboard without needing a floorboard saw.
A very useful tool to have.

They are great tools when installing bathrooms, cutting out the vanity units and concealed cistern units

Surprising what you use them for. I laid 18mm flooring on top of old flooring and because we have some curved walls instead of trying to remove the 9" skirts and risk breaking them i used the multitool to cut the skirts so the flooring fit under them.
Also use them for cuts on plasterboard (Cutting out socket holes in the board) and a whole host of other jobs.
