Not sure why so many people on hotdeals are so obsessed with having amazing quality 4k HDR TVs, when loads can't even read stuff like "Friday" & "starts midnight"

I love how people bitch that their own personal fantasy deal isn't listed. Find it yourself and post it, rather than leap to be the first to post negative comments after someone has spent ages researching and posting something of this magnitude.

I picked up the PS4 bundle for £199 and the Amazon Fire 16gb for £39.99 this morning. Previous post said the PS4 deal was only in store, but it's not, you can order or reserve it online as I did while waiting in the queue this morning.
I was going to get it on Monday but the cheapest I could find was £429 - then saw this - awesome!!

I'm actually buying the 3DS consoles I have reserved at full price either way but was hoping the price came down.
Some items like the Firesticks and iPhone 5S they have a note saying that you need to pay upfront, well here in Manchester they have. Obviously to stop people just reserving for fun.

^This. Echo's really good in the kitchen - play radio, Spotify, set multiple timers etc etc all hands free, but I wonder how it will be when my Prime account runs out. I'll probably switch to Google Home when they get a wriggle on and release it.

Yeah, that's what I thought. It's just I've seen other bundles that are just as good, but they're in stores a bit further away so might not be able to make it there today, so I thought if by some chance, I do get there and pick up a deal, after I've already bought the first one home, then yeah, I'll return the first one that I've reserved.
Spidersmudge
25 Nov 16#351
Return? If you mean turn up to collect and pay for just FIFA only then yes, that's fine.
jayjayuk1234
25 Nov 162#350
Serious question??
Of course you will, it's only free when bought with the bundle, so if you return the bundle it's no longer free
Same applies to Buy one get one free, you can't just have the free one
I've reserved PS4 and Uncharted/Fifa. If I was to return the console, would I have to return Fifa as well, as that is free with the console and not part of the bundle?

25 Nov 161#347
A lot of point actually?, watch the QVC demonstration's of this, they deliberately go out of their way NOT to emphasize it in any way with ANY pre-existing Amazon 'stuffs' (eg. Amazon Prime and the like?), etc, etc?.
They stich to things like asking Alexa what the temperature in London is expected to be on next Week Wednesday?, and what the current time in New York is now?, as well as connecting it to 1 of those Programmable Electric Socket things, then via an installed 'App' on the Amazon Echo via Amazon Underground Store etc, they then tell Alexa to turn the Table Lamp on, they then also tell Alexa to turn the same Table Lamp off again too! (but they also point out the obvious, in that it could easily have been connected into a TV instead?!), & .....
It feeds off of more than just 'Prime' ..... lol. :-)
Not at all impressed with the "Black Friday" deals anywhere. A lot of the tvs were "affordable 4K"
Vestel must have made a packet.......

Dando83

Obviously a retail wide embargo on any price drops for all Nintendo consoles, considering they just brought out alot of new colours and editions, there are no offers less than the primary nintendo site.
Supply and demand i guess, regardless when the time comes they'll prob close to sell out of most 2/3DS consoles even at RRP due to pokemans
trakker1
25 Nov 16#331
I was considering the 2DS for me and the lad with the new Pokemon game included but Argos selling it for £99 even Nintendo are selling it for £89. I tried to let Argos know that they might be selling it for more than retail and I just got a generic response saying "sorry we can not price match this item"
I picked up the limited edition Pokemon XL because they seem to be selling out fast but think it's overkill for my 8 year old. Plus I want one for myself and can't be having him rocking a XL and me on a sky blue 2DS lol.
Midlanders
25 Nov 162#330
true.
atm Nintendo's main store is the cheapest for the XL with the Console + Charge + Choice of case + 2 Year Extended Warranty + free delivery use the code at checkout "Save 10" for a total of £169.99. Still too rich for me though. Says alot if the main site is cheaper than the retailers? lol..

25 Nov 16#325
I agree, having everything spread out over a week on both sides of Friday not only wears people out it also has made the retailers make all the offers mundane and anything reasonable much harder to dig through to find. This year nothing has really stood out that much so far. I think they are reigning it all in now that the pound has plunged.
trakker1
25 Nov 16#324
Yep, poor show for Nintendo in general. Gutted I've dedicated my whole week to finding a standard 3DS around £99, why we didn't get the one released in the US for $99 I don't know!!
I thought with Argos removing the black N3DS from its site a couple of days ago we was going to get it. I have two white ones reserved but at £149 each. Why they didn't even just bundle a game or two. Instead we get a £1 off a case WTF???

JustLikeArkwright
25 Nov 16#319
Having a quick skim around and Argos aren't the only disappointments. JL and Tesco pretty poor. I think the public will tire of having all this striped across 7 days+, preferring just Black Friday and Cyber Monday and some genuine hot deals.

Ok so I ordered the PS4 slim £199 unchartered bundle with FIFA 17 and when I was in checkout it said £199 but once I got an email through about my click and collect it said I have £231 to pay? There's somebody (with very high + feedback) selling XBone S 1TB Gears Consoles for £219 on Ebay tonight. I've opted for one and it looks like another 20 odd have been sold. I bought via PayPal obviously in case there were any issues. I don't think we can post Ebay sellers as a Deal, but this surely would get some heat. From Argos t&c
b) If you reserve a product and the price changes (due to normal fluctuations e.g. goods going into or coming out of promotion) before you collect the item, you may request to pay the lowest of i) the price on reservation or ii) the prevailing price in store at the time of collection. This will also apply if your reservation is extended but not if the reservation collection window has expired.

If they had confirmed this to you they would have been breaking the law. Competition law prevents price fixing and comes with huge penalties if found guilty. As a result, companies don't tell individuals about pricing until it's announced publicly. Otherwise you could be from a different store, this would be price fixing.

Prob will be but Echo is out there, cheap and ready. It works well. The Dot as someone has mentioned is easy to connect to another speaker.

24 Nov 16#221
The Echo Dot is brilliant. I'll be picking up at least one more after midnight. So much fun, especially connected to the Hue lights (extra cost). I bought the Fire tablet from Argos after seeing it mentioned on HotUKDeals but saw it was simultaneously reduced on Amazon too, so check both after Midnight. Seems that you can generally add to basket and the cost at checkout reduces from about half midnight in my experience.

FYI you can do everything the echo does with echo dot. Only difference is a big speaker. And you can connect a dot to a normal speaker.

If you sign in to Argos once you order the item is on hold, if the price isn't at the reduced price which it should be, cancel your recent reservation which will free up the reserved item and instantly reserve it again. I done a similar thing when the PS4 first came out and constantly reserved and quit over 4 days until I had the cash spare whilst it was technically sold out.
You could reserve it then see if a better deal appears tomorrow.

Probably pulled it because ebay traders reserved all the stock and theres no point advertising a deal they have no stock left of.

I was going to get it on Monday but the cheapest I could find was £429 - then saw this - awesome!!
Good chance it'll be out of stock but fortunately I have friends who live 10 mins from where I've ordered mine to be collected from, so they'll do it and post to me - MASSIVE discount considering it's Apple!!!
or anyone
Apologies if this has been posted already. I didn't feel like checking 10 pages...
Im also watching for a 3ds offer for the nephew for Xmas
It actually seems to work?
Some items like the Firesticks and iPhone 5S they have a note saying that you need to pay upfront, well here in Manchester they have. Obviously to stop people just reserving for fun.
Why bother reducing stuff in their BF sale if its all reserved at full price
Yeah, that's what I thought. It's just I've seen other bundles that are just as good, but they're in stores a bit further away so might not be able to make it there today, so I thought if by some chance, I do get there and pick up a deal, after I've already bought the first one home, then yeah, I'll return the first one that I've reserved.
Of course you will, it's only free when bought with the bundle, so if you return the bundle it's no longer free
Same applies to Buy one get one free, you can't just have the free one
If you don't mind pi k this is €122 delivered.
It feeds off of more than just 'Prime' ..... lol. :-)

Vestel must have made a packet.......
We reserved, but then saw tesco deal for 189, saves you an extra 20 quid - will post up later before I leave for work
Supply and demand i guess, regardless when the time comes they'll prob close to sell out of most 2/3DS consoles even at RRP due to pokemans
I picked up the limited edition Pokemon XL because they seem to be selling out fast but think it's overkill for my 8 year old. Plus I want one for myself and can't be having him rocking a XL and me on a sky blue 2DS lol.
atm Nintendo's main store is the cheapest for the XL with the Console + Charge + Choice of case + 2 Year Extended Warranty + free delivery use the code at checkout "Save 10" for a total of £169.99. Still too rich for me though. Says alot if the main site is cheaper than the retailers? lol..
I thought with Argos removing the black N3DS from its site a couple of days ago we was going to get it. I have two white ones reserved but at £149 each. Why they didn't even just bundle a game or two. Instead we get a £1 off a case WTF???
curved possibly
https://postimage.org/
The site is down now with the silly count down! Maybe to stop us all reserving stuff now haha
Its for my Mother for browsing maybe a bit of word
What are the LG G4/5 deals you guys are thinking of?
Have to speak very loudly to get it to undertand me - certainly doesn't hear you speak from across the room, thats my only niggle.
b) If you reserve a product and the price changes (due to normal fluctuations e.g. goods going into or coming out of promotion) before you collect the item, you may request to pay the lowest of i) the price on reservation or ii) the prevailing price in store at the time of collection. This will also apply if your reservation is extended but not if the reservation collection window has expired.
This thread just consists of the same questions asked over and over and over.
Please just take a minute to read the OP and the comments to save the thread being filled up with pointless re-posts. It's just damn laziness.

As competition will rise, prices will drop eventually. my next TV will be 65 inch or above, not getting anything smaller than that !!
Bass any good?
Thanx in advance
Cheers all
Not very good at answering general knowledge questions. Most add-on 'Skills' (Alexa apps) a bit crap.
Cheer up all. Deals are deals but won't mean anything when we're trading ps4 and 4K TVs for canned food goods :man:
Once was excusable but twice is not. Tomorrow!
"WE JUST COULDN'T WAIT.
JAW-DROPPING DEALS AVAILABLE NOW"
Yeah right!!!
What's the sound quality like?
These days folks are forgetting the true meaning of Black Friday: Getting you head trampled on by the front door of an Asda.
Just double checked with Argos and it comes with physical copies of both games. So you could sell on eBay. Fifas £40 now but will come down to £30ish due to recent price reductions
If it helps, I've been on the lookout for a slim 500gb ps4 bundle and this is the one I'm going for.
Just hope it's online as I'm can't be bothered with instore on BF
"Gutted. Wanted a Bentley Continental R in graphite for £8.63 including a free chauffeur. Cold from me."
If you order now for click and collect. Pay in store and you will pay Black Friday prices . Simples :sunglasses:
Isn't this the best price yet?
So now no extra controller?!
So now no extra controller?!
Today for their Black Friday deal, they're put the price up by £100. Cheers Argos.
