Hey! First post on the site so apologies for any mistakes or if this has already been posted.
Currently everyone is selling this product at the same price, but got an email from Apple this morning to say that they are giving 3 months free apple music gift card when you buy the speaker with them. Not a bad deal as you are getting a little extra for the same price you would pay to Amazon, Currys, John Lewis, etc.
Highlights of the Sonos Play:1:
-Plays everything, including Apple Music, streaming services, Internet radio and podcasts
-Plug in, connect and stream without interruptions or interference
-Play different songs in different rooms or the same song everywhere
-Control with one app on your iPhone or iPad — click a room, pick a song, hit play
-Software updates help your speaker keep getting even better
-Sounds bigger than it looks thanks to meticulously tuned Class-D amplifiers and custom-built drivers
-Trueplay tuning ensures you get the very best sound, no matter where you put PLAY:1
-Stereo pair with another PLAY:1 for wider, bigger and deeper stereo sound
SO a bit confusing what they will actually give you but after taking to Apple via chat it would seem its a card worth 3 x £9.99. iTunes credit and Apple Music credit is interchangeable so this is actually a very good deal for the right person. Makes the speaker about £109.98.

I've now ordered. Its a £29.97 gift card via email (per speaker). Great deal in my opinion.

Isn't if free for 3 months anyway of does this tip it up after ?
Its credit for 3 months which is £9.99 x 3 basically. So a new sign up to apple music would get 6 months out of this. Longer if you can get a student discount (£5 per month).

Can some one advise me if this is a deal ?
I want a Sonos 1 and a Sonos 3
2 of us own Iphones, 1 an Itouch 5 and other a HTC android phone.
Not worth dealing with this for me if I Music is a non starter.
Spotify have albums released just 3 days old that under premium £9.99 a month you can download to you device and listen to WITHOUT STREAMING ?
I've looked through the blog and its vague on listening to Imusic without a signal or Wifi
Cheers

Apple Music and Spotify are very similar. You can download to devices and avoid streaming/having to have signal on both.
Apple Music has an app for Android.
Both have family plans which I believe are £14.99 per month. On the Apple side a family shares one credit card for all purchases which may be annoying for some. You can add gift cards to accounts and these will be used before the main credit card which is a workaround if you want family sharing of music but individuals to pay for their own apps etc.
Both services work great with Sonos.
Personally I wouldn't bother with a Play 3 if you can get two play 1's instead.
