Is this really a decent price? I am in the market for a new ssd around this capacity, but I'm not too up to date with current prices. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

6 months ago it wouldn't have been a great price, but with the £ taking a bettering, ssd prices have gone up. Not sure on the quality or the speed but if you are looking for a big drive in a laptop and are not bothered about top end performance this sounds like a good deal.

Anyone know if these are good enough for gaming with? As I'd rather not spend +£20 for another SSD which gives me negligible performance benefits.

I would go for a 1tb ssd for gaming, but the prices right now are just too high, best bet is wait for black friday in hopes to grab on for around £120-£140

No chance of those prices for a 1TB drive come black Friday / cyber Monday imho. I'd be surprised if they are any lower than last year, considering the drop in the value of the pound and the shortage of NAND.

Well trumps been elected so we can expect the dollar to go down a bit temporaly, so who knows maybe we might catch a good deal.
