If it's anything like an HP laptop it will involve removing the entire laptop base, and then lifting out the motherboard, because the memory chips are underneath the main board.

Whenever I get a new PC or laptop I IMMEDIATELY uninstall any McAfee product and install AVG Antivirus instead. McAfee products are installed by hardware manufacturers because it helps them sell you more hardware to cope with the demands of the bloatware.
