I was running out of data and found out from EE customer services that as I was a home broadband customer I was entitled to a 5GB data boost onto my mobile account!
Maybe of some use to people if they weren't aware like me!
Yeah but the 10GB was related to your price plan and you were only supposed to get it if you were on a higher plan, this new one is for everyone regardless of how much you pay,

Strange because I'm on a really cheap plan and kept getting EE calls offering me broadband with the 10gb extra allowance. I think rules etc go out of the window when a sale is involved!

I got 20gb 18 months ago.
Have since changed supplier, they still haven't removed the boost.

Yup! I got the 20gb too on top of my standard 4gb- weirdly though it only displays as 23GB per month instead of 24 but hey I never use anywhere near that so not fussed!

I moved to EE last month, they didn't update my mobile Pay Monthly plan with the free 5gb, so I called them, and said that I was expecting a 'few extra gigs' on my mobile. The nice chap added 10gb
So, I have 12gb mobile data for £10 per month, and £18.50 for home broadband

Joined up the other day as seems the cheapest reliable standard broadband service at the moment.
Only drawback is 18 month contract.
Dont forget topcashback too although they do have known tracking issues with EE and will have to be chased after. I think its about £30 cashback at the minute.

think its 10gb if you swap to EE and 5gb if you are already with them.

you are probably right

If they offer 5gb ring them and say you was promised 10GB if you was on it before

I will try this as been with EE mobile for a year already. Thanks

If I get a EE phone deal via mobiles.co.uk can you get this 5GB extra or does it have to be direct through EE? Ta.

I got mine through care phone warehouse so I'd assume you'd be fine just phone up 150 when you've got it!

Does not matter who introduces you to EE mobile or broadband, EE, CarPhoneWarehouse or any other offline/online party. What matters is you must have EE contract (sim only excluded) mobile then join EE broadband afterwards as per T&C^
Its all a bit still Orange/T-Mobile higgelty piggelty really - will continue to be so until BT really sort themselves and EE out, 2 wrong anes do not make a right!

So, the home broadband and mobile contract are at different addresses?
I'm in a similar situation. Got home broadband at the sister's ( in my name though) and my mobile at my own address.
Can I still get the extra data?

yes different addresses and under different names

Hi. You only have to nominate an EE number for the allowance. They never put mine on straight away, so called them to complain and was issued with £10 credit towards my next bill.

Hi do you speak to the phone side of things customer services or the home broadband?
Does anyone have a link on their site or something with this info? Just logged in to both accounts and can't find any info on this?

Do you mean to say your contract has expired and is now rolling so the retentions team are offering you deals to keep you there or are you just a lucky git that gets free data for the fun of it?

Can you use it to tether?

Checked today. The mobile phone contract has to be in the Home Broadband account holder's name for it to be eligible for this deal. Hot nonetheless.

Used to be household address and 20GB. The sooner BT revamp EE as BT the better. EE, BT & Plusnet all have the same landline/mobile/broadband divisions they are competing each other and 3 massive marketing costs. BT shops and Plusnet online wlll be the way forward. Like BT Cellnet and Genie was.

Yeah, at least that part of Orange mentality remained, what the computer allows happens regardless of terms haha.
T-Mobile were tight as, when I was away to port over to them from their sister when the merger finally happened they wanted to change my Orange broadband from £5 to £25 for a more expensive mobile plan, the same broadband with a new contract for £20 more, as IF!

Rang them and they said I wasn't eligible because I was no longer in contract with the ee home broadband.
I said I wasn't aware that my contract was over and I will start shopping around but he made no attempt to talk me out if it.
Looks like I will have to ring up and hand my notice in.

You must have really high GB use and are actually cost EE money in BT Wholesale overuse fees, unlimited really is not unlimited when reselling BT Wholesale. It makes sense to offer you a new minimum deal period to get the 10GB.
Seriously don't even be tempted to go with EE for your broadband, unless you can manage being disconnected for up to a month while they transfer you, it took me many many phonecalls to sort mine out.

The EE 10GB terms are almost 2 and a half years old, time for a BT revamp https://ee.co.uk/content/dam/ee-help/Help-PDFs/Data%20Boost%20Terms%20and%20Conditions.pdf
