Probably worth adding that this is new and has 12 months warranty.
I was looking to buy an i5 processor similar to the one in this, and wouldn't have had much change from £170.

Not bad especially if you're going to bung in an SSD drive anyway. I wonder if these have a Windows key embedded in the BIOS?

If you can live with a dual core i3 that comes with HDD and Windows then there's this model for £159 which is pretty decent price I reckon. An i3 4130 is probably sufficient for many average PC users

Searching the processor alone is coming in at £160-180? Is that correct? Graphics card £50+?
Currently have an old i3 dual core, would this be a big improvment?

I think the graphics card is below £40, but you're right about the i5 price.
It will be faster.

Not relevant but just wondering if putting an SSD is as easy as putting second hard disk, in a desktop?

Very much so.

Personal experience; I had a bit of trouble, I had to change the ssd's file type from MBR to GPT, or something like that, very simple procedure, plenty of videos on YouTube.

most desktop cases have mounting holes for a 2.5" drive, so you could fit and SSD.
get a copy of Macrium Reflect Free and transfer your Windows installation onto the SSD.
