Stand for the Xbox One S, a lot cheaper than Microsoft but it looks like the same design, free delivery if you don't mind waiting or express available at a price.

I've stood mine the wrong way up vertically without the stand and don't have any problems, There's not much heat and it reads discs fine that way up.

How? Are the air bets on the side of the box? I stood mine up fine without a stand. Just a bit risky. They should have provided a stand with all imo.

Do these actually make it more stable though? I've had a PS2, PS3, a Wii and an Xbox 360 all stood vertically, all without stands.

you can't stand it up without a stand as you block the air vents.
Indeed, the 2TB xbox one S comes with a stand... just don't knock it when the disc is spinning, same as the 360 in that regard.

Should not be vertical.
Your risk. Microsoft has issued a warning to prospective Xbox One owners: don't stand it up vertically! Do so at your own risk, Albert Panello, senior director of product management and planning at Xbox, told GameSpot at the Tokyo Game Show. "We don't support vertical orientation; do it at your own risk," he warned

You can stand the new Xbox one s vertically. You're getting it mixed up with the original big one where you shouldn't stand it up
