I looked a little into it before posting and it seems that they are great for those with limited space or finances, who may not ordinarily buy a tumble dryer, and need to eliminate most of the water from clothing before hang drying.
They also seem to be popular to use alongside tumble dryers in order to reduce the water left in the laundry after washing.....thereby reducing the amount of time that items need to spend in the tumble dryer..... which i guess saves time and possibly energy bills.

It's a shame they don't make these in different colours, my wife has asked me to buy her something Silver for Christmas and I was thinking this would have been ideal :stuck_out_tongue:

Energy used to spin a motor is much less than that required to heat a tumble dryer.

The reviews, and questions and answers section on the amazon listing hold a lot of good information, that you might find helpful..
It does look to be pretty quick, someone asked about the drying time on shirts and people are suggesting it could be as little as 3-4 mins for shirts.
Comments also seem to suggest the wattage is 300-400W

I'm struggling to imagine how large/small this is
I hate that my living room seems to constantly have a drying rack up all week with various loads of laundry that take so long to dry. Strongly considering this - does it actually help?

I've been using a Spin Dryer for years. They work best with cotton items , synthetics usually come out of the washing machine with less water. Great for hand wash items and towels. Great for drying Kids soft toys etc. Its another item to store away so I would think they would best suit someone without a tumble dryer who hang drys
