Really good value for money entry level road bike for cyclists 5'11" upwards really.
Shimano Sora groupset, Ritchey finishing kit.
Decent frame and forks for the money.
Shimano R500 wheels.

Well I'd doubt you would find a cheaper carbon framed road bike. Decent functional shimano kit, including the wheels.
Even has 'Rigid suspension' ;-)
Some dodgy handle bar and lever set up on photos 3 and 4 ********
Seems a good deal.

Picked up one of these in June, fantastic bike for the money, no complaints.
Stick a pair of GP4000s on this and it flies. Haven't changed anything else
A couple of big threads on here from a couple of years ago when they were going for £399, plenty of satisfied punters
Edit: also changed the brake pads to some Clarks, but that's it

Sensible upgrades above. I.e. Decent Tyres and brake blocks.

"24 to 29 inch inside leg measurements" surely this cannot be correct, would means it's a boys bike if this was the case.

Reported as being wrong.....definitely bigger than that
Also worth knowing that these are produced by liyang of taiwan who have been around since 1968 and make carbon frames for a number of branded cycle types. Amongst them Mekk, carrera virago ( same bike just different branding)

I remember that they used to do a 22inch version as well which I think would have been a better size for me.
Can anybody who has the 23inch version please confirm their height & inside leg and how well it fits?

5'11" inside leg 32", changed to slightly shorter stem and the fit is just right.
Someone smaller who enjoys a racier position may get away with the 23" frame, but I feel like anyone smaller than me would really struggle.
Have used the bike for commuting and racked up around 500 miles so far. Early days but it does the job well and I don't have to worry about the bike too much at this price.
Will upgrade a few bits as they wear out but the stock tyres aren't too bad, even on a wet leafy road and the brake blocks are actually getting better since I've put miles on them but they were absolutely horrific for at least the first 100-200 miles.
Don't know if they're bedding in or I'm getting used to them?
The finish on the frame is exceptional for the money. Even some of my more experienced bike friends guessed it was around a £1000 bike.

Was about to vote hot then realised it was oos
23 inch frame would only suit people well over 6ft tall though.
Just a heads up, if you are looking for one of these and you live near a Clearance Bargains warehouse (owned by Argos) they had about 4-5 in the Corby branch on Wednesday. They may also have stock in others!!

I have one of these as my every day bike. Great purchase. I've replaced the 175mm crank for a 165mm sora with external BB due to knee issues and got a £80 seat in a CRC sale for £20. When I needed new tyres I went for ones that saved about 200g and in all I dropped about 0.5kg taking it down to about 8.3kg.
Sora is a bit clunky but it does the trick. R500s are bombproof. The only BAD thing about it are the no-name brakes. They are rubbish. Get some 105s 2nd hand.
You won't beat this for the money and it's actually a really nice frame. I'm 5'11 and went for the 22inch frame. Flipped the stem for personal preference and a bit more of an endurance feel.
