Both Far Cry 3 & 4 are less than £7 each on CDKeys (UPlay Redeem).

If you have AC4 it looks like the Freedom Cry DLC is 79p

The price listed is incorrect. In order to add Far Cry 4 to your basket you have to select a platform - for PC Download it is £12.47 whilst on PS4 or Xbox One it is £9.97.
Sorry you are right ,will try to mark as expired as prices are all wrong, you can't get the advertised prices when you add to cart.

It's a good deal, but FC4 seemed like a retreat of 3 with snow and elephants to me. That said, I don't think I got far enough into it to find more differences

You got far enough - there aren't any
Also, the main bad guy isn't as much fun as 3, and as soon as you get the gyro-copter and a sniper rifle the game is pure easy mode.
3 is much better

errr...how do I find out if I have any Ubisoft points? I can see something in orange that say 32. Is that it?

Yes its in the top right in orange.I have used the discount about three or four times and still have over 200 left ,but I've finished about 8 uplay games, you get them from buying from the store and just getting in game achievements I think. So you could maybe earn enough by working through your backlog if you have one, sorry it could take a while though!

Finished this game on Uplay without any problems at beginning of the year, but it may depend on your hardware.Only problems I've had with their games is when also going through Steam.I make sure I get Uplay copies of Ubisoft games now but they seem to be cheaper anyway.Steam sale is rumored to start at 6 pm.

Have yet to play Far Cry 3 which I was given for Christmas a couple of years ago but I think I might bag this while it's cheap.
BTW, is it me or have PC games become far more expensive? It used to be the case that they were massively cheaper than console games and you could pick up loads of great games for just over £3 in the Steam sale. What happened?

This is only a guess but I've always blamed Steam Refunds. Ever since that policy was introduced discounts have never been the same. Publishers have more to risk and more to lose so more moderate discounts. The key sites have never been the same either.
In regards to the deal what's the reliability of Uplay these days? I know people recommended the Steam version purely because of patching but I presume it's all finished by now? My girlfriend has the Steam version and still runs into regular crashes and server disconnects with Far Cry 4 (single player).

I read somewhere that Steam & third parties found they make as much/more money selling their games at less extreme discounts than we've seen in earlier sales, so there's no need to do it and devalue their games.
Games are definitely releasing at higher prices now.. Forza/Gears 4 are £45-50, Civ VI & Titanfall are £35+. I think this is because the cost of producing games is constantly increasing, but probably more importantly because people want the games on release and will just pay whatever it costs.
Unfortunately it's a case of people voting with their wallets, and that's why we're moving towards half-finished games full of in game purchases. Idiots will throw money at them whatever they do, so why not.
