This seems like a great android box to use with kodi, cheapest I have ever seen, much better than amazon fire stick in my opinion. Hope this helps someone out.

There is no official AMLogic firmware for Android 6.0. Anything running it will be using a buggy firmware which has known issues like DTS passthrough not working.

You can boot libreelec from sdcard with s905x or flash the nand. I have it booting from sdcard and reboot back to android from kodi.

There is an SDK that allows for firmware to be build.

DTS passthrough does work with the supplied Kodi.

Librelec works pretty well too.
