I brought the cable linked above but no one can hear me when i speak and the chat symbol doesn't light up when i talk but the xbox is detecting the mic as being plugged in. I can also hear my voice in the ear piece when i talk so the mic must be picking it up, any ideas ?

Probably the best gaming headset at this price range. I had X11 for 5 years, would be using them still if i wouldn't break them, now i'm using X12. Well satisfied from both models.

Shak 123 - My DS has turtle beach headphones for his xbox 360 - If I buy the cable you link to above on ebay would that mean he could still use them when he gets (hopefully) - a PS4 for Christmas ???
