You can't run games from an external hard drive on PS4, so it would be of limited use if it did work.

Purchased the 2 tb model for my Xbox 360 a few months back, very compact and you don't need plug in mains to power up,it powers straight off the usb, just ordered the 4tb model for Xbox one s.transfer rates are pretty good aswell.

...because that's a 3.5" mains powered drive, this is 2.5" USB powered drive.

Yes, too big. I literally just replaced my PS4 hard-drive a couple of days ago with the 2TB version, and using the old 500GB on the XONE as external storage bringing it up-to 1TB.

Both being desktop drives which require their own power supply, portable ones like this Seagate are much more useful.

Got one of these 2 weeks ago, was £10 more at the time. Bought to gather together contents of 5 older drives. Quality seems good, size perfect, surprisingly not really that much bigger than my previous 1TB drives. Transfer rates seemed pretty good too.

I picked one up from Sainsburys a few weeks ago at the same price, the stock has gone in my local but the shelf label is still there so may be available at other stores.
