I have this set, which I bought for my son this Christmas, and are yet to be contacted by Hornby about my problem with this.
One of the cars (The Jaguar) slides off the track, whatever speed it goes at, It's terrible and a real shame for my Son as we have a number of junior sets which are great. I have sanded the tyres down (as requested by slot car websites) and even bought extra tyres from ebay which don't fit these cars. I am stuck with this set which isn't any where near 'Total Speed' as advertised. I would call this a total let down!! Sorry Scalextric but it has really let us down.
