Normally I would be inclined to be with you on that one, but as Game are sneaky ******* they have probably sent this information to only a handful of people.

On a side note, I reserved one ps4 500gb with fifa and ratchet clank from argos, but ps4 was 'collect in 5 days'. Yesterday I got email 'remember to pick up your order'. The games have expired but I re-reserved them at same store. I went there last night and all came up as 259.99 for ps4 and 2 free games. I argued to manager that I reserved the ps4 at 149.99 and 3 games and he amended the price on the till for me. So I am well chuffed after missing all of tesco and asda offers, in one asda I was in a queue and an older lady in frobt of me grabbed the last one:( but I got one after all! This is so much better for slim, well done to anyone who can get it!

I had my initial £149.99 order canceled so purchased the £229.99 bundle they offered via email instead with 1 day click and collect to my local store on Saturday and it has still not arrived there. The fact they are now accepting the original order adds insult to injury. My experience with GAME so far is that they are utterly useless!
When I went in store to collect it, they said they had loads of what I ordered in stock but couldn't give me any of them because mine was a specific order. Why they could not give me one and use my order to replenish their stock is a mystery.

Hey all, got through on the second try.
If you are using someone else order number - do not bother, they go through a list of security questions to ensure the actual buyers get this deal only... So don't waste your time or hold up the lines for actual buyers who were effected.
As mentioned before, there's only a few people manning the lines so be patient...
I was told by the guy I spoke to that this deal was created by the GAME staff to ensure that the people who were effected got what they wanted plus a lil extra as compensation, took them a few days to get this all in order...
Once you have confirmed all of the details along with bank details / payment methods, then email clarification, you will pay again, then get a new order number and delivery should be made by Tuesday next week at the latest........ (famous last words)
If you don't have the time then try later on or early tomorrow as for many once you get past 1hr on hold you will get billed per minute....
Just hope it actually arrives now.....

I called this number, eventually got through. They said I had to call the specific hotline number... then gave me the same number again. Said IT were working on the phones cos they were all messed up and the 799 number should not normally go through to standard customer services.
Confirmed that my order will be honoured and a PS4 slim will be sent instead of the normal one and that there was no risk of stock running out this time.

Years ago I had an order with game for Singstar with wireless mics. It was relatively obvious at the time they screwed up the description as the bundle was with wired mics everywhere else, so when it turned up with wired mics I got in contact with them and politely told them the problem. They told me to keep the wired mics as a good will gesture and they sent out wireless ones to me. For that reason alone I have ordered things from them when they are (rarely) joint cheapest so hopefully this will help them more than hurt them too.

Doubtful, I think £199.99 for the 500GB Slim with Fifa 17 is the absolute best we will see this year, maybe £150 by the new years sales but I'd still be surprised.
That said there were some crazy good deals on the Xbox One S a couple weeks back and technically that is a more impressive revision adding the 4K Bluray. Still anyone getting this should count themselves extremely lucky. Though I got a great bundle deal on the One S, I'd jump at the chance to order the PS4 Slim for £150, I could probably sell my old launch one for nearly as much and break even minus fees/postage.

I placed my order last Thursday and screenshot the order confirmation and order number, I never received a cancellation email or anything so I went on the chat the next day to be told it 'looks as though there was an error submitting the order' and that they was now out of stock :disappointed:
More annoying is that I understand they put them back online on the Friday!

They should not just honour the deals without re-tape but allow others to order too. Its not a loss as they still profit per console but greed is an issue for the company. Its why there is not a positive image of the company. At least online is better than instore where the sales assistance will lie and sell you items only not give them. I can see the price of the slim PS4 falling to £200, complete with whatever is the latest game, in the coming years as the console wars hot up between Sony and Microsoft.
I don't think there is enough demand out there for consoles at the moment due to us now being in the grey area between generational changes in consoles. If you are going to buy now then, simply, why? There are plenty of reasons to hold out.
Is the new PS4 Pro worth going for or shoul you wait for Scorpio? Should you go for an Xbox S or the current PS4? Which one of the next gen consoles will be best? Is one going to have a big edge over the other.
I can see the price of the PS4 Pro having to fall from current advertised prices and that will mean the PS4 Slim having to drop in price also otherwise you may as well go for the Pro.
Lots of risks for the two console makers should make the coming run-up to Christmas great for buyers. Ulltimately, both Sony and MS want you hooked in to buying the online memberships - which they make the most money from - so the console price cut war is probably just beginning.

To shed some light and good news.
After spending 4 hours trying to get through, I gave up. 30 minutes later, a decent chap called Ryan called ME!
Said they were going through the list, and to top it off mine was one of the click and collect orders!

I finally got through after 3 attempts and waiting about an hour each time.
They've had over 3000 calls today and aren't very happy.
Apparently someone "leaked" their number online, he said.
I'm not very happy.
Apparently after all that I'm not "eligible" as they didn't actually take the money out of my bank account!
I didn't think for a moment there when I was put on hold by him that this would be 1 of the cleverest scams of it was in stone way a premium number line that we've all been ringing :stuck_out_tongue:

I have however contacted them twice via live chat and explained the situation,and twice I was told that even though the money was refunded,I would still get a PS4 at the cheap price,i even said is that 100% for sure and they confirmed it by saying 100% certain,I even asked the question a second time in the conversation and I was told it is a definite.
I have taken screen shots of the whole transcript as proof.i don't think they will contact me and I expect if I contact them back in a couple of weeks they will say I was told wrong both times,but it's at that point I will email them the copies of the message I have.

Get a time machine. Go back to last Thursday morning. Buy a PS4 and Fifa 17 bundle for £149.99.
Then they take your money and tell you it's dispatched and give you a tracking number. This number however won't work until Saturday.
Then on Friday night an e mail will be sent saying sorry we have no ps4's and we will refund you in 10 days.
Then game will call you a week later saying sorry we messed up we can give you the same offer with a PS4 slim.
Then spend all Thursday on hold on the off chance you may get through to take them up on the offer.

For info of those on hold, I just called the number to check (8.43pm) and it goes through to an automated service, not the music I listened for for a couple of hours earlier, so it seems like it's now closed. the GAME website does list customer services until 8pm.. I suspect if you are still on hold, you might well be in a weird system issue were you haven't been cut off, but possibly should have.
I also called 26 minutes ago, and got straight to the music / game website / twitter etc. like earlier today, so definitely a change there when they presumably turned off the system..

I've given up... emailed the customer services address with details of the offer (linked to here), how long I'd been on hold to the dedicated number (which I also included). Also included PDFs of the confirmation, dispatch and cancellation emails, along with the Paypal emails for the order and refund, as well as the original order in my GAME online account.
I have no idea why they're making this so obscure to get hold of and why emails weren't just sent out with single use promo codes for £100 off the deal deal on their website for the slim ps4, as that's essentially what we're getting.

I'm assuming, given the email a HUKer got after claiming this, that this is all tied up in legal protection for GAME. They are treating it as a way to wrap things up legally with people who they mistreated. However, far too many people are treating this like it's a special deal, and **** it up for the people who are actually entitled to this settlement.
Oh, and the fact that it's a phone call backs this up. Things like this need to be done verbally, which is why they chose phone rather than email.

After being on hold for about an hour and a half I eventually got through. Everyone who placed an order and got it cancelled is eligible to receive a ps4 slim with fifa, you don't need to have received an email about a 'settlement' . I have now received a new order email. The phone lines open again at 8am and close at 8pm. It's a pain but it's worth it, I just put my phone on speaker. Web chat is a waste of time as when I got to speak to them that said you have to ring up and advised I was 70th in the queue. Good luck

Hi, firstly the way I was questioned they made it out that they would only honour it is it was via a payment error - bank, paypal etc... Explained that I had bought it, received confirmation emails etc along with dispatch emails and got the same this about it only being a specific error that they would honor the deal on... so said I have the order details here, my payment details etc etc sort it...... and once I answered the basic questions the guy said all of the gumpf was due to con artists trying to scam a deal - thus the bloated answering times... I still had to jump through hoops after that, receive an email, confirm etc but all good thus far as order will be delivered tomorrow as DPD have received it etc

If they were reluctant to send emails (I mean, who wouldn't be after they made a cock up by sending the dispatch one before it was ready), they should have just sent everyone eligible an email with a phone number to call, it probably wouldn't have been 'leaked' (although they can't really say it was leaked when their online staff have been giving it out) and people might have been able to get through quicker.
Alternatively, they should have informed everyone of the deal originally and their name wouldn't have been tarnished for a week.

I thought I got lucky as I rang first thing yesterday morning and my new order was complete within 10 minutes.
I had had the original issues last week so my details were found no problem.
Since then I have had the DPD contact saying they will be in touch this morning but as yet have not got the 1 hour time-frame you normally get, so I have no idea if it's on the way or not.
More worryingly, and I say this for everyone to check, my balance appears to have gone down £249.99. Now I could have £100 going out that I've forgotten about but I can't think of anything so I assume in a couple of days this will show as £249.99 on my account.

Guys the only number you should try is the mentioned by OP 01256 784799. If after calling it is put through an automated system (Not on hold) then disconnect and connect again. The only indication that you are on the correct line is when you are straight away queued (On hold with music in background).
I managed to get through 2 times since yesterday. So I guess thats what I learnt so far. Hope it helps :smiley:

Finally got through called at 8am took 1.5 hour to get through. Got the PS4 slim 500 gb with FIFA for original order price.
The agent on the phone advised me that they are getting calls from people who are not entitled and they are asking security questions to ensure only people who had the dispatch notice get the offer.
The long queue times are caused by the number of people chancing to get the offer!

Just to update you, I got through just now.
Called 8:02am - On hold till 9:40.
Guy immediately asked for order number(s). Gave them the information, he asked for my address, and last 4 digits of card used to make the order. He asked me to confirm my delivery address from before which is used to dispatch these items. He then stated it was the full and final settlement of this and did I want to proceed. I said yes and gave him different card details as my old card was cancelled.
Said thanks and all done.

He said it looks like my order has not been cancelled and the PS 4 has been lost in transit by courier on way to store and I need to raise it with customer services,asked to speak to his manager as it seemed like he was fobbing me off, he refused,asked him why there is no deal for those that spent more money on the 1tb version,refused and just kept stating I need to speak to customer services. Now on hold for 50 minute's trying to get through on the 0208 customer services number..

No if you originally paid with PayPal - you cannot opt for this again (as they would need your PayPal password to process the order, which I am sure you do not want to hand out!).
So they will need to take card info from you, i.e.e for you to just pay with a credit/debit card this time, when you do get to speak to them over the phone.

DPD emailed with time slot after they initially confirmed last night they had the package.
I did the order first thing yesterday morning though so if you ordered quite late I expect you missed the cut off so might get the DPD emails today and collection over the weekend or early next week.
The order as shown on Game site states "Free Delivery - 2nd Class Post (2-3 working days) " - no mention of DPD anywhere.

Just to letter people know. I got through to an online chat advisor gave him my order number he was able to tell me I was eligible. Said the offer is available until the 12th also warned me it's very busy and that the wait time might be excessive!! Might be helpful though for those that aren't sure if they are eligible to try online live chat. I choose sales and was cut off said chat not available then tried again and choose after sales support was in a que of 10 took about 30 minutes.

What's funny is the dispatched email we all got was only as a result of the NOW TV email being sent to us all, which then updated the order to dispatched. If their system was good enough, the order wouldn't have fully updated to dispatched based on that now tv email. So luckily for us because of their crap software, we're now having to put up with 3 hours of harp music to seal the deal.

Im not so sure... After receiving that dispatch email I contacted them for a tracking number which they gave me, and they said it was for DPD, which is only for orders £150 or more, when that didn't work on the DPD website I went back to live chat to confirm and they responded by saying sorry that's a Hermes tracking number, we got confused as "the price of your goods was close to the DPD price". Doesn't sound like any of this was working off the knowledge that it was only for a NOW TV code.

Firstly they said to me it was hermes, but then said sorry it's DPD. I got a DPD tracking reference as well, but it didn't exist on the DPD website. To cut a long story short, the guy on the phone after I persisted for an answer confirmed the NOW TV email made the order update to dIspatched. Which is why he was confused with one system saying dispatched, but the other saying "awaiting pickup by DPD". The problem he had to begin with was working out why my order was dispatched, yet DPD didn't even

The games have expired but I re-reserved them at same store. I went there last night and all came up as 259.99 for ps4 and 2 free games. I argued to manager that I reserved the ps4 at 149.99 and 3 games and he amended the price on the till for me. I didn't bother reading Game t&cs but it'll be similar and if I recall Game did sent dispatch emails out and then cancel order hence they formed a contract and have to make it right to those who didn't get the items.

If you are using someone else order number - do not bother, they go through a list of security questions to ensure the actual buyers get this deal only... So don't waste your time or hold up the lines for actual buyers who were effected.
As mentioned before, there's only a few people manning the lines so be patient...
I was told by the guy I spoke to that this deal was created by the GAME staff to ensure that the people who were effected got what they wanted plus a lil extra as compensation, took them a few days to get this all in order...
Once you have confirmed all of the details along with bank details / payment methods, then email clarification, you will pay again, then get a new order number and delivery should be made by Tuesday next week at the latest........ (famous last words)
If you don't have the time then try later on or early tomorrow as for many once you get past 1hr on hold you will get billed per minute....

Have repeatedly told them they are breaking the law by only accepting returns for 28 days but they still haven't changed it to the required 30 days.
If they can't get something that basic right you don't have a hope.
I would advise you to log onto "My Account", select 'My Details" and then go to "Account Queries". This will send an email to the online marketing team who could escalate the request.

They should not just honour the deals without re-tape but allow others to order too. Its not a loss as they still profit per console but greed is an issue for the company. Its why there is not a positive image of the company. At least online is better than instore where the sales assistance will lie and sell you items only not give them. Check your receipts and order carefully, the're are too many sh****ers that work at Game -its a game!
First call spoke to someone, had the email sent for this deal and got cut off before paying,second call cut off after 46 mins,now third call cut off after one hour & 2 minutes!!

I think some people have received emails now. I obviously received the information as I have been negotiating with game over the past few days. Told them I do not appreciate being treated like a mug etc. They then broke the news to me. I then declined their offer and wanted the gift card. I then passed the information on to the masses to disseminate. In fact he told me that I would regret not accepting it when I find out the offer. To be fair I guessed what it was in any case.

I don't think there is enough demand out there for consoles at the moment due to us now being in the grey area between generational changes in consoles. If you are going to buy now then, simply, why? There are plenty of reasons to hold out.
Is the new PS4 Pro worth going for or shoul you wait for Scorpio? Should you go for an Xbox S or the current PS4? Which one of the next gen consoles will be best? Is one going to have a big edge over the other.
I can see the price of the PS4 Pro having to fall from current advertised prices and that will mean the PS4 Slim having to drop in price also otherwise you may as well go for the Pro.
Lots of risks for the two console makers should make the coming run-up to Christmas great for buyers. Ulltimately, both Sony and MS want you hooked in to buying the online memberships - which they make the most money from - so the console price cut war is probably just beginning.

I have however contacted them twice via live chat and explained the situation,and twice I was told that even though the money was refunded,I would still get a PS4 at the cheap price,i even said is that 100% for sure and they confirmed it by saying 100% certain,I even asked the question a second time in the conversation and I was told it is a definite.
I have taken screen shots of the whole transcript as proof.i don't think they will contact me and I expect if I contact them back in a couple of weeks they will say I was told wrong both times,but it's at that point I will email them the copies of the message I have.

Then they take your money and tell you it's dispatched and give you a tracking number. This number however won't work until Saturday.
Then on Friday night an e mail will be sent saying sorry we have no ps4's and we will refund you in 10 days.
Then game will call you a week later saying sorry we messed up we can give you the same offer with a PS4 slim.
Then spend all Thursday on hold on the off chance you may get through to take them up on the offer.
i wonder if the call will drop or if the music will stop? cant see call center staff working this late as their customer service hours are till 2000

I have no idea why they're making this so obscure to get hold of and why emails weren't just sent out with single use promo codes for £100 off the deal deal on their website for the slim ps4, as that's essentially what we're getting.
Oh, and the fact that it's a phone call backs this up. Things like this need to be done verbally, which is why they chose phone rather than email.

Just like many people think a price displayed in a shop *must* be honoured. It's commonly honoured but it's not a consumer *right* that it has to be honoured.
Amazing how they don't post deals or contribute to the site,but as soon as a cheap PS4 is up for grabs they all come out the woodwork asking for codes or how to get their hands on one,more than likely to be resold on eBay.

I had had the original issues last week so my details were found no problem.
Since then I have had the DPD contact saying they will be in touch this morning but as yet have not got the 1 hour time-frame you normally get, so I have no idea if it's on the way or not.
More worryingly, and I say this for everyone to check, my balance appears to have gone down £249.99. Now I could have £100 going out that I've forgotten about but I can't think of anything so I assume in a couple of days this will show as £249.99 on my account.
Hope this is just a one off for me.

The agent on the phone advised me that they are getting calls from people who are not entitled and they are asking security questions to ensure only people who had the dispatch notice get the offer.

I said yes and gave him different card details as my old card was cancelled.

I think I'm in a no-win situation. I ordered, got the dispatched and cancelled emails, but I live in Ireland. I'll be out the cost of the PS$ while on hold!
So they will need to take card info from you, i.e.e for you to just pay with a credit/debit card this time, when you do get to speak to them over the phone.
Also if you paid by PayPal that's fine, they'll ask what payment method you used. You'll have to make the new payment on a card though.
I hope it's not too much longer, I need to get ready for work :disappointed:.
I did the order first thing yesterday morning though so if you ordered quite late I expect you missed the cut off so might get the DPD emails today and collection over the weekend or early next week.
The order as shown on Game site states "Free Delivery - 2nd Class Post (2-3 working days) " - no mention of DPD anywhere.

I think if it hadn't been posted on here the majority of people who are entitled to this would not know about it (me included). My order was cancelled, it's still showing as being shipped I was refunded but I haven't had an email from Game telling me to call.
