Isn't it the other way round i.e. they increase the price in one store and then later they can then sell it at a slightly lower price throughout all stores and say 'Sale, previously sold at £xxx'?

I will always maintain there should be a tag for all deals called "Verified National" that users can click on to filter their front page. That way, if you want regional deals (i.e. a sticker in a regional shop) to hit your front page you can. Likewise, if you aren't interested in the wild goose chase you can filter them out for ONLY national deals with one button click.

I tried Asda in Hulme (Manchester) yesterday afternoon, to be told they sold their last £149 PS4 one that morning. Today I went to Asda in Stockport to be told that they only received one £149 PS4 to sell.

I don't know if it's a coincidence but I spoke to someone in my local Argos store yesterday as the automated line was having technical difficulties checking stock in a couple of stores and the lady was able to tell me that there was stock left in those stores. I didn't get the same technical difficulties on the automated line for the stores that didn't have stock. It might be worth calling up the stores you had the difficulties checking directly as they might have stock.

Ok so i just went into a store where they had one left, and the manager saw the letter/email so he rang lynette, the person who has written the email, and she said no that email was written directly to samuel barr and nobody else and therefore the deal cannot be done

ive tried every birmingham store that im aware of and they had none in stock or the store i was checking had technical difficulties

They aren't going to give you the deal over the phone that was never the case its only if you go into store and show the emails i sent you, head office are aware of who they would of dealt with over the phone, if you look at the thread with over 10,000 comments on many people have managed to get this deal doing it that way unless you physically go to an argos with stock, which you can find out by googling the Argos and getting the number and ringing and putting the number in which i gave you there isnt really any other way ringing head office is useless unless you have taken a case up with them prior to all of this

definately, when i got mine last wednesday she told me the deal was pulled straight away, it was only supposed to be a one day offer but somewhere they slipped up and put till 13th october, they would never of been able to supply a ps4 for £150 for two weeks so they have took it off the website, im guessint that friday they will magically appear again at the price of 259.99, but the catalogue number is still live so if you go in store or ring stock checker it is still available. Then come black Friday im guessing they will sell the lot off

You will not find the deal on the website itself the catalogue number is 1222540 it wont appear on argos when you type the number in because they have stopped the deal, however if you ring your local argos which can be found by googling it there is an automated stock checker, if you type in 1222540 which is the 500GB ps4 with fifa bundle it wont let you reserve but it will tell you if it is in stock at the store, it will also be priced at 259.99 then you go to store with proof of the deal running until 13th October and try your best to get it

But why i am asking is because i have emailed argos and they have told me if you provide the "letter" explaining argos will honour this offer, then they will look into it further.

I just rather gather all the info now, as i guess its the last day before the offer expires, rather try than completely miss out. If anyone has this letter and more info please let me know. Thank you

That's not what you're after, what you need to know is if the store has stock of the item, the price can be challenged with the letter and screenshot from Argos website.

Argos originally stated the PS4 bundle with fifa runs till 13th October then quickly pulled the deal but have evidence of the deal and a letter stating that they will honour the deal if you find one in stock, you cant find stock online as it wont be on again till after the 13th im guessing when the deal ends but if you go in store with the catalogue number or ring argos they can tell you if its in stock, thats how people have managed to get it

As long as it has adequate ventilation of course. When I had it in an enclosed space with little ventilation it sounded like a vacuum. Now on a shelf with clear breathing space it is dead quiet

I work for asda this should be nationwide as we had deal in our store when it was on hotukdeals other week and we wont be stocking no more. Apparently it will be discontinued like what happen with the ps3 fat systems when the slim was launched

Asda is still ongoing, My local has the case on display for £150 but many people have tried buying one to be told its OOS at the checkout, Asda are just too lazy to put a sign up

Works out the almost the same if you were to purchase a slim with Fifa ie sainsbury 219 deal

I think retailers clocked how much of a good deal 149 with fifa was and sharp found out they could easily get 149 for the console alone. Worth every penny of that 149
