Poltergeist: The Legacy is a Canadian horror television series which ran from 1996 to 1999. The series tells the story of the members of a secret society known as the Legacy and their efforts to protect humankind from occult dangers. Despite bearing the Poltergeist name, there is no real connection between the show and the Poltergeist trilogy aside from the title.
This is a classic supernatural series in a similar vein to the X-Files but without the Sci-Fi.

Good find. Cheesy show and all, but I really enjoyed it as a kid. Hopefully the other series make an appearance soon enough. Heat added.

Great deal. Chuckled at the description of similar "to the X-Files but without the Sci-Fi.". That's a bit like saying, "similar to THE KARATE KID, but without the karate."

Fond memories of watching this at 2am on the Sci-Fi channel when I couldn't sleep. Not a classic but like Friday the 13th series or War of the Worlds a great show to have in the background
