if anyone is tempted to buy it on the basis of this, let me tell you, it is NOTHING like journey in space. although it is in space.

rented it from boomerang, went in with an open mind, played it, tried it, got it but found it incredibly dull, collecting stuff to do just about everything got old very very fast...like you even had to collect to stuff in order to collect stuff!!!, stuck it back in the post to boomerang the same day.

I picked up a second hand copy for £15 the other day, knowing full well the reviews it had received. I'm only a few hours in, but actually enjoying it as a casual gamer. Would have been gutted at full price, mind. It's like Journey, but in space.

£14.99 is the absolute upper limit for this game. It's more like a very ambitious Xbox Live Arcade game from the 360 era than a PS4 game.

Hype or no hype it deserves all the negative reviews it gets. Lovely for an hour or two then it becomes the most repetitive and dull game ever. The way it was marketed and priced was criminal,

exactly. of course it was never going to live up to the hype...but that hype was bred from blatant lies. They sold an indie game at the price of a AAA game using footage of things that aren't in the game, speaking of things that aren't in the game, and then ran and hid away. Hard to come back from that.

Apparently it's the lowest rated game on Steam. Personally I think the game was doomed to failure as it just had an impossibly high level of hype surrounding it that even if it had been truly exceptional it would never have lived up to. If it hadn't been hyped to such crazy proportions it would probably have been rated a good, if not great game with a unique visual style. I think the steam rating just shows people jumping on the hate bandwagon to see how much they can sully it's name.
I'd be interested in playing it at some point and taking it on it's own merits instead of comparing it against a out of control hype machine....

I don't think it's a hate bandwagon when you think that most people paid £40 for this at launch, add that the the fact that after launch the dev team has more or less disappeared from social media leading people to believe they don't care.
The game industry worries me at the moment with quite a few games released as early access and promise the world for the devs only the leave it and move onto the next cash cow (which this wasn't by the way it was meant to be a finished AAA release)

Heat for the price...
But man... I can't think of one single game that went from being so expensive to being so cheap in such a short space of time.
Even Battleborn and Aliens: Colonial Marines held their price for longer (I think).
EDIT: to think the LE cost £80 only 2 months ago... CRAZY!!!

Tempting. Interested in checking the game out, but it's caused such a big stink that I'm more than a little put off.

If it had been this price at launch it wouldn't have had as many critics.
Also it's not a bad game just didn't live up to the hype / lies of the developers.
