Have been looking all over for a reasonable spec laptop at decent price that will be able to play the likes of Fifa 17 etc.
This is the cheapest I can find with the GeForce 950m Graphics card, which is not by any means the most powerful GPU, but YouTube videos suggest new games will play at a reasonable standard, without breaking the bank.
Reduced from £599.99. Also you can get another £7.38 off through Top Cashback.

One thing you might want to bear in mind is that laptops like this won't be available at this relatively low price point for much longer. Thanks to all the idiots that voted for Brexit, we now have a plummeting currency and very soon now we are going to enter a prolonged period of inflation. It will be the 1970's all over again but without the decent soundtrack.

Dual core CPU, no OS and no dedicated GPU. Not a comparable system.

I am not PC expert but 5 years ago I bought my HP laptop for £500ish with no GPU just onboard that could not even run very old metal of honour games. So in comparison years on for the money it looks like good value to me.

Thats subjective. you cannot directly compare that. For example a macbook pro which cant for the life of it game costs 2 grand. (top 15" model) .

I bought an Asus laptop similar to this with the 850m card 18 months ago for £562. This is the first gaming laptop I've seen that 'beats' mine and is cheaper so a good spot OP!
I'm currently playing all the Assassin's Creed games back-to-back and they do look increasingly wonderful in 1080p with all settings maxed out. The 850m/950m cards might not be state of the art now but who in their right mind pays £1,800+ for an Nvidia 1080 laptop just to play games?

better by no more than a 10% but considering that these gpu's are very weak, then it is a 10% better of nothing virtually

This is a great deal for the price. Can play most games on this chip (I use an 850m) and has space for a m2 SSD.

Good deal, I was a bit lucky and got the GL72-6QC for £525

useless gpu but at this price it is better than a lot of rubbish for sale at the same price but with the inbuild gpu only

Useless? I mean you can run most things at 1080 without a major issue, have you actually used these chips?
Comments like these put people off these deals. It's a great deal for what it is. A mid range gaming laptop.

This has quite a decent cpu, genuine quad core(skylake too) which can boost to 3.2GHz. The GPU, while not great is still a major jump from integrated. All in all, quite a decent price for such a (semi) gaming laptop. Heat from me.

Just noticed . GEFORCE® GTX 950M DISCRETE GRAPHICS CARD WITH DDR3 2GB VRAM....DDR3!!!!
That will hurt performance a bit but even so, the reviews seem to indicate that it still performs fairly well.

What has an idiot like me voting Brexit got to do with a laptop or inflation?
