isn't this just a massive rip-off of harvest moon? I never understand why some games get so popular
it does look good though..!

It is very heavily influenced by Harvest Moon but does enough new things to set itself apart I think. I would highly recommend it if you've enjoyed any of the Harvest Moon games.
As for farming tips - I would actually advise not reading too many guides it takes the fun of discovery out of it. If you know which fruits are most valuable etc. it just ends up a bit of a grind for the most profit. (made this mistake myself!)

Took a while for someone to post this, guess the usual suspects didn't think it would be worth enough internet points
As others have said, Stardew itself will be cheaper (and if you have your Humble subscription still open from last month you can pick it up for £9.89), but if you want it it is probably worth a gamble for the games you'll get next month. Not ashamed to admit I've actually put 50 hours into this game and still haven't discovered a lot of things.
Given how well remasters of 2 year old games seem to do these days and the general lack of anything new in the AAA market I think I could forgive a single developer for making a homage to a console game on the PC

They might not be your sort of games but that doesn't make them garbage. Hotline Miama 2, Slime Rancher, Action Henk, Train Valley and Deponia Doomsday are all rated very positive on Steam, but the bundle was worth it for Grim Dawn alone.

I'm tempted, though I think it drops to £8.99-ish in the Steam sales (and that's with a fairly small discount, so hopefully it'll get bigger discounts before too long). I'm sure an extra pound or so for the 6 games is good value for money, but if I'm never going to play them, I may as well just wait for this to be cheaper on it's own...
Heat added, though.

A hard call this month, to me previous bundles were either a headline game I wanted and was decent value by itself, or something I was not interested in at all.
This month, I sort of want Stardew Valley, but expect it will go on sale around Halloween anyway... Hmmmmm

Totally worth it for Stardew Valley alone. Very addictive game and amazingly made by a single developer; the 1.1 patch was released recently as well.

Brexit is saving me money, it's pushed up the price on stupid **** that I would have normally bought
