Amazon generally offer the lowest prices on malt whisky and this is the cheapest price since 2014 so I very much doubt you saw this @ £24. Probably the 12 year old which is still stocked at that price or the Founders Reserve.

It is possible at the minute. The co-op is de-listing some alcohol products and my local one has heavily discounted them. e.g. I picked up 2 bottles of Aberlour for £13.79 each today, they also had Co-op brand Highland single malt for £12 a bottle. Could be worth a look at your local co-op.

I'm sure it's a good price for an excellent whisky. However it's only 70cl. The per litre price is £43. I tend to get my whiskies at the airport, on arrival back into U.K. They often have "2 for £55" deals that are generally amazing value.

That's ok if your in and out of the country often and most people don't have that kind of access to an airport/duty free so the deal that's posted is excellent value for those of us that keep our feet on the ground.......well at least till weve had a few
Fair enough. For anyone who does fly occasionally, the airport whisky deals tend to be good (note that scotch is generally 1 litre bottles at the airport). I'm partial to a Japanese whisky and can highly recommend the ones they sell at World of Whiskies at the airport.
