Considering the weak £, it's not a bad price - it's a tiny bit cheaper than the deal posted 12 months ago @ €78.99.
[EDIT]..... Though obviously the exchange rate is now terrible. So technically this is more expensive than 12 months ago, but unlikely this will become pre-brexit prices anytime in the next few years
€73.75 + €8.99 shipping = £73.68.
Thanks, 'lastcall' for pointing out that when you go to Amazon-Italy the price appears to be €74 euros instead of €73, but once you go to checkout it brings it corrects the VAT to 20% instead of 22%.
Use an app like Revolut to get the perfect exchange rate, and opt to pay in Euros with it at checkout.
You'll need to go through the Amazon Italy website to get this price. If you use Google Chrome it has a built in translation function. Otherwise you can download a browser addon to translate the page as it loads.

If anyone asks about import duty or VAT from Italy, I'll personally stab them for ruining the country.

Unsurprisingly it came with an Italian manual / recipe booklet. Did any of you find an English version? How do I know which settings to use, how to prepare the ingredients/dough etc?

Also - try this no knead dough. Trickier to shape, but very light dough giving a more neopolitan style crust. I am on to sourdough myself now - both for bread and pizza bases. Still learning as each batch has it's own properties and it's difficult to get consistency - even after making maybe 20 batches of sourdough. There's definitely a different taste, I wouldn't say nicer - just different!
How did I miss this thread?
Anyone who is after Caputo and lives in manchester, I found another supplier after G and O stop selling to the public.
Amato Italian Products is another wholesaler that will sell to you without an account. They also have San Marzano tomatoes (which I still haven't tried!)
They are near to the city centre, behind the train station.

Agreed this is the one kitchen gadget I use regularly, I tend to use Sainsburys Canadian flour but will look into the eBay option, had never considered that! I did notice on my last pizza (it was a cheat, shop bought) the base didn't cook properly so hoping that the element under the base isn't on its way out - I tested it later and it was still heating up so might just have been me...

Best 'gadget' I've ever bought. I've just made 12 pizzas for the kids I look after, they can't get enough.
I've found the best ratio for dough mix is 70/30 strong bread flour/00 flour. I use the Jamie Oliver dough recipe.
I cannot recommend the oven highly enough, a few of my friends have bought them on the back of eating ones I've made, addictive.

Bought one of these several months back. I ummm'd and aaaah'd about it quite a few times....thinking like 99% of other gadgets it wouldn't get used much......
Truth be told, I thought the pics of some of the cooked efforts online looked a bit horrible, uneven, burnt and unappetising.
I was so wrong.....get one they're great

I've never used mine for cooking supermarket pizzas because I never buy them. I do suggest removing the polystyrene base before putting the pizza on the stone!
More serious advice. You need to preheat the G3. Set it to 2 and let it heat up with the lid closed until the light goes out. Lift the lid and wait for the top element to start glowing again - will take about 3-4 minutes. Put the pizza straight onto the stone, close the lid and turn the knob up to 2.5. It should cook in a few minutes or so.

Fantastic machine.. Produces better pizza than my local Italian... I use sainsbury 00 flour at around £1.50 a bag. Is the imported flour worth the extra?

Heat for bringing to attention San Marzano DOP and Caputo flour. I wouldn't bother making pizza without them any more. I use the 'frying pan/grill' method when cooking indoors but looking to buy a Roccbox for outdoors

Mine's still going strong after over a year. In use every weekend. I've probably made over 300 12" pizzas in it. I stopped using Caputo in preference to Marriages Manitoba after a long term test.
If I could change one thing about the G3, it would be to replace the useless timer with a second thermostat for the bottom element.
Voted hot.

May I ask for your help, I bought it only with non English instruction books.
I use it with supermarket fresh pizza but only 1) burn the top especially the sides 2) always stick to the plate...3) don't know how to clean the oven base properly
I think I must do something wrong, could you kindly teach me how to use it?

I've got one of these and it's great. If I remember rightly, it's not a standard travel type adapter that you need, but a schuko to UK one. I think they're subtly different but I could be wrong.
Anyway, it makes bloody brilliant pizza

No you're right. I got confused with the Amazon-UK deal that was posted last.
But still, previous Amazon-ITALY deals were €78.99 + shipping (one of them was €73). Whereas it's now €73/€74 + shipping.
So yes, you're right, the exchange rate meant they were cheaper.
But the pound isn't going to be worth pre-brexit value anytime soon, so I think this is a good deal for now. I can't imagine it being cheaper in the future, sadly.

I wonder if manufacturers that sell electronics in Italy give them names with British words to make them sound fancy.
