Seems to be a decent price for the 1060 6gb and the reviews for the EVGA variant are positive. Never ordered from laptops direct so not sure about their service. Delivery from 25th October.
Finance options available through Paypal at 14.9%.
Just noticed that price can be reduced by £20 by creating a Which? subscription (£1 trial) and using the discount code that Which? email to you (and then cancelling the trial). This applies to all orders over £200. Price has gone up to £242 but using this method can be brought down to £222.

its gone up by £8 quid or so, but i ordered anyway at £234 (+del) and although other retailers say they expect stock before the 26th, they have been saying this for over a month now for this gpu and it doesnt happen so not too bothered.
I mean, let's not be too tight on the price here, it's £113 more and it comes with GoW, so you can resell that for more than 13... Just a guess!

decent price that, cheapest 1070 that ive seen. I'd still go for the 1060 as I'm only gaming at 1080p and personally tend to stick with EVGA.

I3 6 gen, sufficient for this or will it bottleneck? Or i5 (6400)

Would go for the I5, but I3 6th gen is still pretty solid cpu for this card. Would definitely be a bottle neck if it was a 1070

It depends on the game, i3 6th gen CPUs are dual core with hyperthreading, so effectively just dual core, the instructions per clock (IPC) are stronger with Intel CPUs currently, however I notice bottlenecking of 2 x Xeon Quad Core E5450 (Core 2 Quad Q9550 equivalents) with a Geforce GTX 970, so I'd say your CPU could definitely bottleneck this GPU with some games. One caveat to mention is my Xeons are older architecture and don't support all the CPU extensions that the i3 does. However if you want a rough guide and I say rough my Xeons score around 2,000 points more together than an i3-6100.

If you're a student or have an Amazon prime student account you can get these and 1070s at very competitive prices from the warehouse. Good price for new here though. Heated
