We have a pair for my little one and it was great when we went to a track day he couldn't hear a thing - silence was golden instead of him crying with the noise. Also ideal for autistic children so they can see the fireworks but don't have to endure the noise.
They are fully adjustable and suitable for children from 6 months to 16 years.

No not your usual teenager apparel but great for older disabled kids so they can enjoy the sight but just not the scary sounds

I'd rather spend a little more and get something where I know the db rating.

Peltor also contains Bis(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP)
I have these for my autistic son that I did buy cheaper on Amazon. they don't completely block out the sound just the intensity of it so they can still hear you talking and enjoy what's going on.

Why go? You'll get a better view of one of the big displays on television (free). Adjust the volume as you like. And no chance of your child being hit by a stray spark or a firework. He/she will be totally safe!
They won't have to endure anything and you can simply switch it off if it gets too frightening

Because Autistic children LOVE the visual sight of live fireworks but hate / are sensitive to the loud noise , so these are perfect for them
Why keep them at home and prevent them joining in the things they love?
My Grandson with Autism loves music and I am taking him to a concert but will be bringing ear defenders as it will be too loud for him but with these some of the sound will blocked out but he can still watch and enjoy the concert without it being way too loud for him and am sure he will be able to still hear some of the music through these just not enough to cause him distress and I am buying a pair for myself too as loud noises bring on migraines but I still want to relax and enjoy life too

why would you take a child that hates loud noises to a firework display, just reads of selfish adults to me, there's always YouTube if they like the visual aspect, it's not the same but then their self esteem doesn't take a big hit from looking different, obviously this comment does not include the disabled, that's completely different.
