Good god, yes. You'll have a whole new world to expand into and a world that's good. It has all the emotional rollercoasters but overall is more cheeky and of course all the pomposity is limited to Cliff until Frasier comes around. You really can't go wrong with this if you love Frasier and it'll flesh out all the episodes where the Cheers cast visit. All the cast make an appearance in Frasier apart from the ones who died and Kirsty Alley because of her opposition of psychiatrists because of scientology.
If you need more joy in your life then get this. It's warm. And it's hard to find that nowadays. It doesn't look down its nose on people. Even if characters are losers it has sympathy. We need to go back there.

Ok - I am one of the biggest fans of Frasier you will ever meet. Yet I have never watched Cheers, not properly anyway. Is this a must watch for me?

It's completely different to Frasier... it's very old and very poor with as much canned laughter as you can eat!

Me too! Love Frasier and never get bored of watching repeats. Cheers is good and you may enjoy it. I did. However, they are quite different as comedies. If I could only ever watch one or the other, Frasier would win hands down, but as I said cheers was good in its time. Why not try a few episodes and see what you think.

I have, and it has. You'll long for the world to be like it was when Cheers was made.
