The cheapest this normally is, is around the £40 mark. Amazon have marked it down to £35 for the first time in ages, and is a great price for a 60.9% volume single malt scotch (Yes, its strong, and needs a little water). I would not expect this to get hot, but hopefully some of you whisky fans out there will spot this and grab yourself a lovely tipple for a nice price.
I'm not 100% sure what batch no. they are selling on Amazon, but someone mentioned they got Batch 55 in October. (cheers for the correction 634miyamoto!)
IWSC Awards Tasting Note: Very attractive aromatic nose filled with ripe fruit some sherry notes and a faint, gentle waft of peat. Rich and full in the mouth with layers of ripe fruit and sweet spice. Good oak and fine balance. Vanilla makes quite a show towards and feisty finish.

UPDATE: Hi All, Got the refund to my bank yesterday and the CORRECT bottle arrived today!. I am excited to try it now. :O)

ok, i rang up and chased my refund, which hadn't yet been processed (Even though Collect+ tracked it as delivered on the 28th Oct). The refund has now been processed and is due back in up 5 days.
The woman i spoke to said order it again over the webpage, i asked about adding a note to the order, she just said, it wont let you add a note, but if it happens again to ring them straight away. Here's hoping i get the correct one this time.

I've received the correct one now, when they arranged collection of the wrong one i said that i wanted the correct one they shipped out the correct item that day. Make sure you contact the customer services, rather than using the automated return thing.
So im happy got the correct item now, annoying but at least they came good in the end! But id stipulate that you want the correct shipped its decent stuff!

I would suggest ringing them and place the order over the phone, explain what has already happened and ask them to ensure the correct item is sent out - to good an offer to pass up on.

Any updates on how this has been sorted for you guys . . .
Its a heck of a mistake for any seller but for Amazon . . . shocking, let us know.

They emailed me saying they will collect it from me rather than having to go to a drop off point, which is alright its still frustrating as i wanted it for a Gift, but mistakes happen and as they run their warehouse staff ragged its not a surprise. Think this is going to be my last order with Amazon.

I wasn't offered the collection, i had to find a collection point and drop it off. STILL still waiting on the refund. yeah i found the 10 year old in Asda for £20. what a cheek to send out the lesser version, unless it was just a genuine mistake.
I really want to buy it again at its current price, but i don't want to receive the wrong one again :O(

Yeah they said they've put an order in to ship me out a new one, my only concern is the Order Tag/QR code thing on the bottle they sent says its the 60.9% version. I bet im going to get another 10 year 40 proof lol!

I have had this issue with Rum before, sent me a standard strength version of the same brand, worth less money. they refunded in full and let me keep the rum. Does seem to be an issue with amazon

what a scam. It arrived today and was the 40% 10 year old standard version.

If you really ordered the A'Bunadh and were delivered the standard 10yo then you are due a refund/replacement - they're not even close. The 10yo can be had for £16 somedays in supermarkets. Amazon are still offering the A'Bunadh at £35

Less sugar for the yeast to turn to alcohol?
friiza to buckmr2
14 Oct 161#24
Yeast dies after about 20% alcohol. Hence the need for a distillery.

Won't be adding any water to it though as for me it dilutes the taste and the initial "hit"

Me either. I will add a couple of chunks of ice though. That will dilute it more than enough....I just need to remember to drink it quick enough that the ice does not melt too much!
