Probably the same ones as Screwfix which are all part of the same company. These are very good. They don't whistle like some LED bulbs. The illuminated part curves round so that it allows light to bounce off the ceiling. Most bulbs only cover 180 degrees leaving a lot of shade. Nice warm light as well.

Has anybody actually compared them to the LAP ones in Screwfix?
The Screwfix ones are actually pretty good IMHO.

The problem with these less bulbs is they don't work with conventional dimmers... I ain't changing all the switches in the house.

Really? Are these really 60w equivalent or are these the same as cfd's ie the wattage thing is a complete lie?

leds are a lot brighter than a glowing wire and use a fraction of the energy so yes

Not a hot diall in my opinion.

Why are dimmable LEDs so much more expensive? How different is the technology? Something I've wondered for a while
I agree, have the cool white from Screwfix and am well pleased IMHO they are more that 60W equivalent, more like 90W.
The warmer temperatures give a lower perceived illumination.

Standard baileys 1L is £ 10 at Asda, so I bought that instead

Agreed with comments on brightness. Much better than compact fluorescent type. Instant full brightness and brighter than 60w tungsten. Should be the same as the Screwfix ones as B&Q are a sister company.

how much would you save per year changing to these

Each of these use 9w so use your electricity tariff and calculate using 51w less per 60w bulb you replace....

These are a good deal if you don't like a well lit room but I much prefer 100w equivalents and they are still relatively expensive everywhere :disappointed:

Whilst B&Q and Screwfix are part of the same company and these are priced very similarly to the Screwfix bulbs I don't think they are the same item as there are subtle differences in their specs, e.g. the beam angles are slightly different (210 vs 200 degrees). The Screwfix ones also have a 3 year warranty vs the 2 year one on these B&Q bulbs. In my experience Screwfix (broadly) tries to supply slightly higher quality products as it has a slightly more demanding customer base. Their customers also seem far more vociferous in terms of the customer reviews meaning Screwfix seems more cautious about selling lower spec items!!
I am not dissing these bulbs at all - they have a great spec at a really good price and the deal gets some heat from me - just that as someone who has both a B&Q and a Screwfix nearby I would generally choose Screwfix over B&Q where everything else *seemed* equal - and clearly the 99p saving here means they are not equal! LOL. (I have not done an A B comparison on these bulbs but have been very impressed with the Screwfix ones, as has everyone else who has commented on them and think the extra 20p a bulb may be worth it).
