As above - appears to be a good spec at an ok price' not gearbest prices granted but then again I'd rather buy this from Amazon with some peace of mind and with quick delivery.

You tube is pre built on the box as is kodi and a few links for films etc.
Just connect to your broadband and it's good to go.

My replacement box arrived today (Bqeel MXR), same MBOX UI, but has buttery smooth mouse and thus is far more usable - my VPN software is designed for mobiles and will only work with the mouse.
Oh, and once I'd downloaded "YouTube for Android TV" that now works fullscreen - no status bars or anything.

I hear you get reported to Amazon if you PM sellers directly for review units in exchange for reviews, then banned.

Got one of these and just tried it this evening. Horrible, unusable jerky mouse - the only other box I've seen has a buttery smooth mouse pointer, and that uses the same remote.
I've written my review on Amazon.
Having said that, I've only had it a couple of hours so new to these boxes, and it does seem to play what I've thrown at it so far, including a 4k sample vid (I only have a 1080p telly). Also, it's worked on streaming TV/Film 'services' such as Exodus etc, and UK Turk style addons for Kodi.
I haven't found a way to remove the top notifications bar from the YouTube app (so it looks like a normal Android phone with a bunch of useless icons at the top of the screen, permanently). That's a showstopper for me..
Ouch, it's up to £59.99 now - was £40 something an hour ago...
Will have another play tomorrow, but it looks like it's going to go back to Amazon if I can't sort YouTube (and that crappy mouse)
[Edit!] - it's going back, as YouTube isn't fullscreen. There's no way to dismiss the notification bar while it's playing. This box thinks it's a mobile phone with a bunch of useless icons at the top, that you can never click on.

There are some build.prop settings that might enable hiding of the status bar.
You need to be rooted in order to easily try them though.

Yup, there're only a few devices which are Netflix-pre-approvedfor HD and 4K streams, these are on the Netflix site.
Anything else will receive a piddling SD stream, even if its hardware supports 8K feedback. Pretty poor show on the part of Netflix but hey that's how the world turns.

I have a Fire Stick too, for Kodi, IPTV and Moonlight. All work pretty well. I did break off the case and clamp 2 40mm heatsinks either side as it runs very hot at times. I also added a wired ethernet usb adapter (requires root) for network stability.
For the price it's great. If your looking at playing 10bit hevc directly there no chance. If you want the best at the moment though everyone says Shield.

2 questions, first one is me being stupid, if the OS is Android, does Android support 4K?
If yes, then could I use this to stream 4K films stored on my Google Drive?
(actually more questions, which would be the best app for streaming, or can I just use the Google Drive app?)

It's an app on the android store so will run on any android device, I have it on my phone for example.
Then you can also putvit on other OS devices, although android is generally easier.
So the devices that run kodi are vast.

The Nvidia Shield is your only real option right now and only if your TV HDMI ports support HDCP 2.2.
The chances of getting Netflix 4k on the cheaper Chinese boxes is slim to none because of the lack of the correct widevine level support required and a reluctance for Netflix to enter into contracts with the Chinese vendors to make them approved boxes.
